Filed mv104 in NY late. Am I missing anything else?

My car was parked on the street and was rear ended by a drunk driver and was totaled. Between filing with his insurance, it has just been a mess to deal with.

I just happened to read the exchange report and saw it said to file mv104 within 10 days.. my accident was on the 8th. I've never heard of this report, neither the police nor the insurance companies mentioned filing this.

Will this be okay a couple days late? Is there anything else I am missing?

I've already agreed to the settlement with his insurance and my insurance was made aware a day after the accident.

Thanks!

Drunk driver totaled my parked car. Take the offer or am I getting bad advice?

To keep this as short as possible. I live a secluded life, most of my family is gone or very far away. Not many friends can provide much help as far as advice. I don't understand insurance aside from my research this weekend after getting my ACV offer.

A couple weeks ago my car was parked legally on the street and a drunk driver smashed into my car and that was eventually totaled.

Called his insurance, they accepted liability, appraised it and offered me 21k as the ACV. I spoke with the guy from the insurance for over an hour, he walked me through the CCCOne report and answered all my questions. I brought up some examples I found in the meantime and they were discussed and ultimately dismissed.

My car is paid off so all 21k is owed to me directly. Like other posts I've seen. This obviously will not cover my exact car. The cheapest I've seen around for my car with similar miles is 22,500 and that doesn't include tax tags and fees, so that would be around 25k.

The insurance tells me to accept the offer and to return the rental car.

My boss said to call my insurance for advice and to get a lawyer. This is not a hit I should be taking because the other driver was drunk and committing a felony, for which she was arrested.

I personally don't think there's much I can do, the insurance only owes me ACV plus a rental right? Would a lawyer even touch this case?

Should I call my insurance and see what they say? Do I just take the offer?

How does canceling FEHB work?

Looking to enroll on my soon to be wife's insurance when we get married in July. We have comparable insurance and she already pays for a family plan for herself and her daughter so we will save the money I'm spending on my self plan.

How does this work? She adds me to her plan and I contact FEHB to discontinue my insurance deductions? How long does this normally take and or am I missing any steps?

Help deciding what to do for a vehicle after an accident

To keep a long story short. My car was parked on the street unoccupied a few weeks ago and was hit by a drunk driver.

Drunkies insurance accepted responsibility and offered a settlement. I tried to negotiate but at the end of the day my payout amount is $21,000.

I was expecting 23k min... hoping for 25k based on KBB and the comps I found.

I don't have much money right now between my other bills and my wedding this summer.

What do I do? What's the best option? Do I just take the best used car I can find and spend no more than 21k? Do I try and take out a 5-10k loan and buy a new Honda on a 5 year note and just hope I can pay it back sooner? I can technically afford a 10k loan at (just high balling at approx 6% int) at ~$195 a month.

Just confused here. I'm uprooted because of this drunk girl totaling my 2022 car with 45k miles on. I don't know what to do that won't put me at risk of something else. I'm hoping that this summer my electric bill will go down and I should be able to use my wife's insurance which will save me another $250 a month but that won't be for another 5 months at least.

Any advice would be appreciated

Edit: Spelling. Double characters

What do I do next after a car accident

Background: My car was parked on the street last night and some drunk driver smashed into my car. This person was arrested and my car was towed. I reported the accident to my insurance and said I'd be filing with the other drivers insurance.

I was not given much information from the police except to reach out the next day and get a report so I can call their insurance and that the incident report would be available a few days later. When I went today the officer hadn't finished the report and to call back tonight. I tried calling and didn't get anywhere since there was no desk officer.

Is this acceptable? Do I have a time frame I need to open a claim with the other drivers insurance? Should I drove down to the station at 8pm for the report so I can contact the other drivers insurance? Not like that call can be made until Monday morning anyway.

My daughters head had been itching on the very back of her for a couple days. I've washed her hair a couple times to ease the itch. Found this today. Only found the one. Nothing else really seen
