Why is the wind so insane today?

Seriously, a massive billboard near me is almost torn off because of these gusts. Feels like a storm outside. Is this just because of the monsoon or is something else going on?

Planning a trip on the Green Route (Sakleshpur), but is the "vlogger" chaos as bad as it looks online?

I’ve been looking into a trip on the Karwar Express/Sakleshpur route because the scenery looks absolutely incredible. However, I’ve been watching a few recent vlogs to get a feel for the journey, and I’m genuinely concerned about the "vibe" on the train.

In almost every video, I’m seeing groups of people just screaming and shouting in the tunnels, blocking the doors for hours to film their reels, and acting like they’re in a private studio rather than a shared public train. Even some of the vloggers themselves (like in this recent one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BV3WBA2iIdA) have started calling out how disruptive and annoying it’s getting.

I’m curious, for those of you who travel this route regularly, is it really this chaotic in person? Is it still worth taking the trip for the views, or has the "clout-chasing" culture made it impossible to actually enjoy the journey?

I’d love to hear how you guys deal with this when you’re on board. Is there any way to escape the crowd, or is this just the new reality for this route?

Bengaluru language debate and somehow nobody mentioned Malayalis? 😂

Outsider's perspective here , Chennai Malayali, living in Veerasandra for a whole 4 months, surviving entirely on English and the mercy of BMTC conductors 😂I've been reading this thread and noticed something interesting - everyone is basically describing the SAME experience from different sides without realising it. The Kannadiga feeling like a stranger in Bellandur = The Kannadiga feeling like a stranger in Hosur, just 20km down NH44. The language changes, the experience doesn't. Meanwhile, in Madivala, there's a decades-old Ayyappa temple where the Malayali community uses local Karnataka chandana. No drama, no news coverage, just integration happening quietly while everyone else is fighting on Reddit 😂 The loudest language conflicts I've seen are either two people who can't resolve a basic disagreement, or someone with a political agenda harassing a security guard over an English apartment board. Most people in this city are just living their lives.

PS - how is everyone forgetting Malayalis exist in Bengaluru? We've been here longer than your apartment complex 💀

Sick of people blocking pedestrian ramps. Reported this SIS vehicle on BTP ASTraM today! 😑

Hey guys,

I work at Rapture Biotech in BJ Towers (near Hosur Road). Every single day, someone has the absolute audacity to park right on the ramp connecting the service road to the footpath. It completely blocks the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians to step right out into moving service road traffic just to get around.

The ultimate irony? The vehicle belongs to SIS (Security and Intelligence Services)... and their regional office is literally on the 2nd floor of this exact building! You'd think a security company would care a little bit about basic public safety, but apparently walking from a real parking spot is too much work. 😭😂

Anyway, enough was enough today. I pulled out the BTP ASTraM app, took a geo-tagged photo, and lodged a complaint under the Public Eye module. The app pinned the BJ Towers address perfectly, and it's currently in the 'Validating' stage.

Can't wait for the central traffic team to drop a neat little ₹500 e-challan straight onto their 2nd-floor office desk.

If you guys have people constantly blocking your office footpaths, highly recommend using the ASTraM app to fight back! 🫡

Drop that in instead—it completely bypasses their rule drama but still puts SIS nicely on blast! 🍿

Corey appreciation post: Can we talk about how underrated Michael Johnston was? 🦎💚

I’m rewatching Season 5 and just wanted to give Michael Johnston some well-deserved credit.

Even though he was only 19 IRL, he carried himself with so much maturity and poise compared to the chaotic werewolf energy around him. His voice was always so calm and grounded, which fit Corey perfectly.

A few reasons he deserves more love:

  • The Chemistry with Mason: Morey is easily one of the healthiest, sweetest relationships in the show. Michael and Khylin had effortless chemistry from day one.
  • The Chameleon Vibe: While the show loved shredding every guy, Michael’s leaner frame was actually perfect for a stealthy, camouflage-based chimera.
  • The "Ghost Regular": It’s wild that he was only a recurring guest star (his name always pops up after the title card) because he truly felt like a core member of the pack.

Michael handled the role with so much sweetness and professionalism. What was your favorite Corey moment? Him using his camouflage just to hold Mason's hand in class will always be top-tier for me. 🥹

[WARNING] Serial theft at PG in Dadi Reddy Layout (Huskur Gate/Hebbagodi) - 3 items stolen in 30 days

Hey folks, I need to put this on everyone's radar for safety and also ask for advice.

In the last month, there have been three separate thefts at a PG in Dadi Reddy Layout, near Hebbagodi.

A resident's room was entered and electronics were taken.

My friend’s headphones were stolen from their locked room.

My Redmi Watch 3 Active was stolen yesterday morning.

The Red Flags:

All rooms were locked.

My watch was factory reset immediately after it was taken (confirmed via the Mi Fitness app), which means the person had time to sit and operate the device.

The management (an AP-based family) is being extremely dismissive. They have a Hikvision CCTV system. We’ve noticed the owner loitering near our rooms suspiciously right before these incidents happened.
urrent Status: We have already filed an official e-Lost report with the Karnataka State Police. My friend (who is a local Kannada speaker) and I are planning to visit the Hebbagodi Police Station if the management doesn't provide the footage by this evening.

Questions for the community:

  1. Has anyone else stayed at PGs and faced this?
  2. What are our rights regarding demanding CCTV footage when an official police report has been filed?
  3. Any tips for dealing with the Hebbagodi police specifically?

Stay safe everyone, and keep your high-value items in a locker if you’re in this area.

I’ve finally found the ultimate antidote to Bangalore’s soul-crushing traffic, and it only cost me ₹15.

Yesterday, I decided to skip the usual BMTC/Cab struggle from the south and took the 66885/66586 (Hosur – Yeshwantpur) MEMU. Here’s how the adventure went:

  • The Approach: I took an MF-22D to Janatha Colony from Anekal and decided to hike through the village roads to reach Anekal Road (AEK) station. It’s about a 3km walk through some surprisingly rustic eucalyptus groves and farm plots—a total 180 from the chaos of Huskur Gate.
  • The Timing: Caught the evening return (5:55 PM from Anekal Road). Hearing that MEMU motor whine approach the platform while the sun was setting over the fields was actually pretty therapeutic.
  • The Cost: Exactly ₹15. For a ~50km journey into the heart of the city (Yeshwantpur), that’s about 30 paise per kilometer. A cab for this distance would have easily been ₹1,000+ and taken twice as long.
  • The Experience: The train wasn't nearly as packed as I expected at Anekal, though it picked up the "IT crowd" at Heelalige and Karmelaram. While everyone else was stuck at the Silk Board junction or crawling through Electronic City Phase 2, I was cruising through the greenery of the TN-KA border.

If you live near the Heelalige/Anekal belt and work toward North Bangalore, stop punishing yourself on the roads. This MEMU is the best-kept secret in the city.

Has anyone else used this specific line for their daily commute? How’s the punctuality been lately?
