My body is a wreck

Currently 7.5 months postpartum and I feel like my body is deteriorating before my eyes. And I don’t mean the normal destruction from pregnancy and giving birth, but from actually caring for my baby. Both of my wrists have pretty moderate ‘mommy’s wrist’ so lifting heavy objects or getting up off the floor is next to impossible. My back ACHES and not the classic lower back pain, the most excruciating mid-upper pain that just comes and goes. And the newest development as of today, a popping sensation in my chest when getting my son in and out of the car 😃 obviously, I know I need to make an appointment with my doctor but life has been busy and everything comes and goes so frequently and new things arise I just wouldn’t even know where to start. Anyone else falling apart ?!?

Struggling to keep home smelling clean

I have scoured this sub so much trying to find ways to keep my house smelling good but nothing seems to work and I am just wondering if there’s anyone in a similar situation that has found a solution. My home is on a dairy farm so the natural aroma outside is 💩 and inside is barn. I mop and vacuum our home every single day, open up windows if the wind is blowing the right direction to not flood the house with the scent of cow poo, I wash the walls biweekly and keep linens that absorb any scents to a minimum ex. Switched to leather furniture, not a ton of throw blankets or curtains. I try to keep barn clothes and shoes outside but nothing seems to help. We got home from a brief 2 day vacation yesterday and the house smelled RANK. The only solution I have is to light a few candles around immediately after doing my mopping and vacuuming and that does the trick for the rest of the day, but when I wake up in the morning the stench is immediately back. Lighting candles 24/7 is just not sustainable at this point and with a baby in the home, is probably not the best health wise. I’m just looking for a way to deodorize the home and have it smelling CLEAN rather than like candles all the time. Help!!

Am I a horrible person or AIMS?

Hey everyone. This has been a roughhhh week for my family and I just need to vent and get some feedback on my situation because I feel like a major asshole right now. 4 days ago, my boyfriend (23) little brother (13) was hit by a car driving home on his dirtbike. A distracted driver didn’t see him and hit him hard enough to break his femur, ankle, and wrist as well as cause a multitude of other issues. He has been in the hospital since then having surgeries and scans and will stay there for at least 2 weeks. He is such a good and sweet kid who is so responsible and mature for his age and an injury like this is devastating, he is basically like my first born child with how much he stays at our house and everyone is heartbroken. My boyfriend has been travelling back and fourth the hospital (1.5hrs away) since and for some reason holds a ton of guilt surrounding the accident. We are all upset, so I understand his hurt but it’s really starting to affect all aspects of our life. He feels guilty to laugh and make jokes, any time off work is spent at the hospital for as long as visitors are allowed, and when he’s home he just sits on the couch in silence or goes and finds something to work on (we live on a farm). I completely understand going and spending time at the hospital with his brother, but the energy in our home is DEPRESSING when he’s here. I have been at home alone for 3 out of the last 4 days with my 6 month old son and his mother’s 2 dogs and I am going crazy. The dogs are high energy and can’t be left alone like mine, and the baby is super fussy and can’t be put down longer than 10 minutes these days. I find myself burning out quickly and when he gets home from the hospital i have to walk on eggshells about what I ask and say to him. I can’t try and joke or tell him funny things our son did that day, but if I ask about his brother he just doesn’t want to talk about it. I haven’t eaten a real meal since all of this because I just don’t have time between the baby and dogs. I feel guilty for complaining that I’m having a hard time when CLEARLY his brother is going through a much harder time but when will our lives go back to normal? I’m trying to be there for his family and him the best I can but I’m exhausted at the end of the day. So does this make me an awful person? I’m seriously struggling to cope right now and life feels so chaotic.
