Any insights on how much it would cost?

Any insights on how much it would cost?

So, we have a 300 gaj old property in a Tier 3 city in Haryana, which I am planning to demolish and build a PG since there's good demand in this area, and it will surely keep on growing in the future. It will be a good source of passive income. I shall be taking a loan for capital requirements and thus need your insights on the budget needed to check the financial feasibility of this project. Here are some key details:

  • City: Sonipat, Haryana

  • Area: 300 gaj (2700 sqft.)

  • Floors desired: Ground Parking + 4 Floors

Could you share insights on:

  • What budget are we looking at?

And, any existing PG owners wanting to share some insights on this business are welcome!

Edit: This is a random reference image I found on the internet.

Passport verification

Went to a nearby police station for my sister's passport police verification, and honestly, I'd expected somebody would ask for a bribe, but to my surprise, nothing like that happened.

Punjab Economy

I was born and brought up in Haryana; my mom is from Punjab. I don't follow this sub, but lately, I've been recommended a few posts from here in the last few days. I wanted to ask some questions with genuine curiosity (zero malice).

  1. What are the new generation's thoughts on manufacturing in Punjab? It had a lot of factories back in the day, and now I don't think there's much left.

  2. How do you feel about Punjab getting names like "Udta Punjab" for drug issues, and is there anything being done at the ground level to curb its spread and provide rehabilitation?

  3. We read about the falling water table; is there widespread understanding and awareness among farmers to move away from water-dense crops?

  4. Is missionary conversion thing that serious and widespread?

And lastly, and a bit on the emotional side, how do you feel about leaving Punjab and settling abroad, and would you want to stay/come back if the economy and conditions improved?

I genuinely feel for Punjab, and these questions often come to my mind. I'm here for a healthy discussion and to gain some knowledge from you guys!

Open Garbage Disposal on Roadside

Lately, I have observed so much trash being disposed of on roadsides in the city, be it Sector 14/15, Railway Road, Kapda Market, basically everywhere.

I'd suggest that anyone who sees open disposal of garbage anywhere in the city please raise the issue on the eSamadhan DULB Haryana Citizen mobile app ( you can also use the website: https://grs.ulbharyana.gov.in )

I have raised many issues from time to time on the app, and in most cases, all of them were resolved within 24 hours. Since the complaint goes into the system and only closes when evidence of the work done is uploaded, this acts as a good check and balance, as they can't sleep on the issue.

Instagram par rant karne se desh saaf nahi hone wala, hume hi khud kaam karna padega bhaiyo.

This app doesn't just cover garbage disposal, but almost all the daily issues we face in urban centres. So start clicking those pictures and hold these people accountable.
