First day of school and I already hate it.

I had my first day of junior year today and honestly I already hate it
My school got way stricter this year. Not just with phones and technology.

The bathrooms are a mess now. They closed all the bathrooms on the second and third floors except for one, and now you can’t go 10 minutes before or after the bell. So basically if you need to use the bathroom at the wrong time you’re screwed.
What’s annoying is that the teachers are gaslighting us into thinking a email was sent. The only email we got was one showing where the supervisors were supposed to be, which wasn’t even meant for us. So idk why they’re acting like we were supposed to know about all these new rules.

They also messed up the gym schedules for juniors and seniors. Some people got put into classes they didn’t even ask for. I asked for regular gym and somehow ended up in yoga.

And then there’s my classes. A lot of them are either people I don’t know or the type of kids that make school annoying in the first place. I’m talking about the kids vaping, wannabe gangsters, constantly causing problems, etc.
I really took my last two years for granted. It’s only day one too

my school keep giving me the worst lunch periods

Schedules come out in about a week, and I’m hoping I finally get lucky and have a lunch period somewhere in the middle. I’ve had both really early and really late lunches, and honestly both are annoying in their own ways. An early lunch feels like I’m eating before I’m even hungry, but a late lunch has me sitting in class starving and going the whole day without a break. Lunch periods are basically I gotta get lucky at some point.

How can I improve for next year?

I didn’t do the best on my PreACT. I didn’t study for the ACT I took in 9th grade, and I only did a little review before the PreACT in 10th grade. I’m not aiming for a highly selective college.

I’ll be taking the ACT in mid-April 2027, so I have plenty of time to prepare. Are these scores okay, and what are your best tips for improving them?
