So online most people say he was over 200mph as a rookie and the King was 200mph. If we take that variable we can sort of find his actual speed. Then we see the montage and the screen shows lap 174 when Mcqueen catches up, means 34 laps to unlap. Now that final track in cars 1 is based off real life daytona 500 which is 2.5miles lap. Im gonna skip writing down the whole math here but basically if Mcqueen caught a avg speed 200mph King back in 34 laps then his own avg speed was atleast 205.88mph or 206 to round it.
