It will be extremely difficult to surpass Season 1 in terms of sadness.

I have no doubt in my mind that season 2 of cyberpunk edgerunners may be significantly better in terms of writing and storytelling but I'm not sure if it will be able to surpass the mere sadness and shock value that season 1 had to offer.

Following David's story was really emotional because the story was being built around one person for 10 episodes.

But season 2 now needs to somehow connect 4 people into a 10 episode anime with enough time for us to actually build an understanding of the characters and their motives.

Worse case scenario is constant fast paced action and scenes that don't give us enough time to truly feel sad for their fates.

At first I hated the idea of bringing a Kid into the crew and then she turned into my favorite character.

When I first watched Cowboy Bebop, I saw the poster of Edward with the crew and I immediately thought adding a child would be a bad idea for a more serious/mature story.

But from the moment I saw Edward, she became my favorite character, I didn't expect her personality to be so cool and funny. In fact I wish we got more standalone episodes with Edward because in my opinion she carried the show.

I actually thought it was a boy at first, but was corrected later, she fits perfectly into the story without taking away from the plot. Hands down the best character in the show imo.

As a fan of Boruto here are the main issues with the story right now

I think I finally understand the issues this series is facing and it's a list of multiple different things. Ikemoto created a very interesting plot but he executed it horribly.

There's not enough depth within the characters to feel much weight, they are very plain besides Kawaki and Boruto. The stakes are extremely low for a plot that is supposedly very dark with the world on the line.

The chapters are mostly empty/stagnant, for a monthly series it isn't giving enough forward movement, we have been on this arc for ages without much plot progression.

The pacing is absolutely horrible, we need to start picking things up and that's just a few. When I see people slandering Boruto I don't even get offended anymore because honestly they might not be wrong.

The writing is starting to get very silly especially Boruto's plan of trying to use sarada as bait to catch code, that just sounds stupid I can't even take it serious at this point.

A list of everyone who should have died in Shinjuku Showdown.

Here's a list of everyone I feel as though should have died when encountering Sukuna in the final battle.

  1. Megumi

  2. Kusakabe

  3. Higaruma

4.Maki

5.Yuta

  1. Ino

  2. Miguel

Too many people survived imo, if you're gonna bring back Nobara at least break even.

This panel of Ichigo has to be Ragebait

It really puts into perspective that raw power isn't the deciding factor when it comes to scaling Bleach characters.

People scale too easily without really thinking things through, how do you get done this badly after receiving soul king level training.

Shouldn't the entire Warwhelt map be destroyed by now?

How is Ichigo "supposedly" dishing out city level attacks and yet the place shows no destruction? He literally created a crescent moon in the sky and yet the entire Warwhelt is in perfect condition. Is it reinforced?

If a single sword swing from Dangai Ichigo was able to destroy mountains or a Grand Rey cero from Vasto Lorde blew up the entire place then HOS Ichigo should be doing WAY more damage. We need to feel the attacks, not just see flashy spectacles.

Saitama has to be one of the funniest anime characters in history.

I can't be the only one that dies laughing every time he's on screen. It's like he's unintentionally funny with the things he says and he always has this blank expression.

If he wasn't a hero his next profession should be a comedian, I would genuinely watch a Saitama comedy anime. I also think the comedy of OPM is one of the aspects where Dub is better imo.

Can we all agree the concept of Infinity Castle is one of the best designs in all of anime?

The concept is just absolutely insane and the anime turns it into a masterpiece. I hope they further explore different designs and areas such as adding literal waterfalls that wasn't there in the manga. The possibilities are endless.

OPM Season 3 ruined some of Garou's best moments.

I'm genuinely still angry that they managed to take some of his most iconic panels/ fights and butcher them completely. Does J.C staff know just how popular Garou is? Or did they think he wasn't worth the budget to animate?

People would disagree but I'd rather watch Garou be the main character than Saitama.

The amount of hype behind Garou and Saitama during this timeframe is unmatched

The peak of OPM was during Garou's evolution, this was one of the craziest motions of all time, equal if not more than Gojo vs Sukuna. I genuinely thought the manga took a dark turn and was going to be something devastating.

I wish Garou was able to keep the form he got from God and actually be able to control it at will instead of it being a one time thing.

Hopefully we'll get it back at some point but I think it should have been a permanent form given to him.

Before the show ends Bleach needs to IMMEDIATELY establish Ichigo's powerscaling.

Here's the issue no matter how many transformations and power ups Ichigo undergoes, the animation all looks the same. There is not one thing that screams this more powerful than the last and Yhwach keeps tanking it effortlessly.

Personally I find it problematic in terms of scaling Ichigo because there are no claims or destruction properly showcasing his power. We have no idea how fast he is truly moving, his durability, his AP, DP, hax etc. I have no idea if Ichigo is city level, Planetary or Universal.

Anybody who says otherwise is making up their own head cannon and it's not reliable when scaling him to other characters inside or outside the verse. Got people thinking Orihime is actually stronger.

At least show a feat of him in a different timeline destroying planets or something, Yhwach needs to make a statement asap.

Hot take: Boruto should have been fully isolated

Call me crazy but Boruto shouldn't even be talking with anyone inside the leaf village besides maybe the Hokage. Sarada and Sumire also shouldn't be unaffected, let us feel the weight of Omnipotence itself and see through Boruto's lens bearing that curse throughout the story.

Boruto going through different themes/phases of loneliness, isolation and being misunderstood.

A central plot point of that calibur especially when the story itself is Linear shouldn't be resolved so easily. Every chapter the story is losing what made it special. I personally don't like the argument that " A story should resolve those things as it goes along".

That can only be applied to certain things but not the driving force of the story itself, that's bad writing. Omnipotence should have been fully unresolved until the end of the story or even more devastating no one would truly know Boruto's identity.

D should be the sole survivor

Based on the 2 trailers and episode leaks it's made certain that D and Roman are the main driving force of this season. Roman is the central theme of the story because he's the one holding the camera but it seems D has an extreme significance to the plot itself and his connection to Roman based on the anime expo screening being leaked.

There must be at least one character at the end of the story to hold the emotional weight of everything and what's not more devastating than the closest person to Roman throughout the show is the one to bear that curse.

If anyone dies it has to be selective if you want it to be more devasting than season 1, killing off the entire crew randomly is too linear. Strangely enough I don't think D is going to get 100% overwritten by anything.

Roman dying and D being the one to carry on or hold his legacy is far more devastating than any other character death could convey especially mirroring his own clan and legacy being wiped out.
