I watched the entirety of Cyberpunk Edgerunners because of a friend (who did cry)'s recommendation. I already knew it would be a sad ending since I saw on a few edit videos' comments that it was heartbreaking.

When I reached the end, I felt (as we all probably did) sad and depressed. But instead of crying like my friend did, I just felt empty. Maybe there were distractions around me that prevented me from getting sad, or I just wasn't in the mood. I guess I just dealt with it differently, but I tried watching the ending again, but it didn't really do anything. I did feel my eyes getting ever so slightly teary, but not to the point where tears are about to fall out.

And now I feel like I'm missing out on the feeling, especially since I keep seeing people saying they cried. And I can't just watch it again, since it's not the same. (I wish I could watch it for the first time again) I do get PTSD from the song (like others do) where I get flashbacks to the last scene, but not to the point where I'm sad/cry all over again. I just feel... empty I guess?

Please let me know if I'm not the only one...

Anybody else watching Cyberpunk Abridgerunners?

Only 3 episodes so far released from these guys but man i love when people do this shit, plus it's well made too. Reminds me of TeamFourStar's Dragon ball abridged series.

Most dialogue just... doesnt exist' on netflix atleast.

Im rewsrching edgerunners cuz i got a reeeally deep cyberpunk hyperfixation a few weeks ago' but most dialogue is either hardly audible or completely missing' only being readable through the subtitles.

It was a cool creative way to make me pay more attention early on' but it STILL being like this on ep.4 is just getting annoying. Is this intentional? I dont remeber this being a thing when i watched it 2 years or so ago....

Artistic liberty is cool and all but i had no idea what was going on in the ep. 3 robbery cuz ALL of the planning exposition was done EXCLUSIVELY THROUGH SUBTITLES THAT WENT BY IN 3 SECONDS. Same with the first faraday meeting. Now im confused AND irritated cuz im missing half the info.

What's Yall prediction on Avida?

She is described as a former jazz singer and corporate insider, mother to Talia.

Will she end up being another Dorio? Or will she have a greater impact on the story?

From episode 1 leaks : >!she appeared in Weak Kingsley's mind during his cyberpsychosis. And also Right in the middle of him almost ending his life, she calls him and meets up with him (?). Also, the final scene shows the Kang Tao army capturing Talia. I think Talia might be getting decromed because Avida wants her back. Thats why theres a scene of her jumping out a window from seems to be a hospital? She's trying to escape again.!<

Mine is that she'll become the twist villain somewhere in the middle in order to "protect" Talia. Also, Talia might have left her corpo life because of Avida herself. Maybe she was abused by her own mom or has to do something with Weak himself since Talia seems resent Weak so much. I suspect something like that could have happened.

And her husband (from Kang Tao) might be the corpo who dragged D into Night city, because D using the Blackwall and all that shit. That Kang Tao want to experiment on.

edit : i just realized, after so much thinking. she might be a clone lol. hear me out, all celebrity in night city litteraly being cloned rn, and Avida used to be a jazz singer. so what if the short hair avida (from Weak's flashbacks) are actually clone of hers, while the real one is the long hair??? (idk man, I'm kinnda high rn)
