I was at the Mazda stadium. The Eternal Lucky 7th Inning !!

In Episode 2, at 1:34, there's a shot from outside the café. But they're already inside from the beginning of the episode !

I don't know if any of you have seen it. I've only watched the anime, and I enjoyed it, but the quality—if I may say so—was "poor," which bothered me a bit (I was really surprised to see that is was from 2016). Today I watched the live-action version and really liked it! The actors playing Fujinuma and Airi were great (watched it in japanese), and I think the adaptation was pretty good.

I’m curious to hear what you guys think of it.

Out of the whole anime series, it was "Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl" that moved me the most, and that I loved the most. One of you told me to save my tears for the manga, so here I am!!

Is the anime difficult to recommend because it falls into several categories at once, yet doesn’t really fit into any of them?

I’ve never seen the name “Oshi no ko” mentioned in any recommendation posts, and perhaps that’s because I joined the subreddit too long after its release. My theories are that:

1. it isn’t actually popular outside Japan (I don’t know, being Japanese)

2. it doesn’t fit into any single category but fits into all of them at once, so nobody recommends it because it’s hard to categorise.

3. Nobody likes it lol

Personally, I really liked it and would recommend it as a thriller, drama, psychological drama or mystery (maybe romance??)

There’s surely another reason, so please feel free to let me know

For those who haven’t seen it yet:

Oshi no Ko is an anime that deals with topics such as the idol and entertainment industries in Japan, a murder investigation, the world of acting, romantic relationships, and the supernatural.

It’s excellent thanks to its formula, which offers a bit of a mix of genres, its addictive storyline, its very likeable and well-written characters, its focus on key moments and the emotion it evokes, its superb animation (especially the eyes, lol) and the way it shows us the dark side of the industry.

In any case, I recommend it regardless of what genre you’re into
