If Future Sight+ and Dynamic Punch+ are similar to previous + moves, Mega Mewtwo X is a top-tier attacker but Y won't benefit that much

TL;DR: I gave both Mega Mewtwos hypothetical "+" versions of their datamined moves. Assuming ~12.5% more BP (base power) than the current versions, rounded to the nearest 5. That's Future Sight+ at 130 BP and Dynamic Punch+ at 95 BP. Result: Mega Mewtwo X becomes the best Fighting attacker in the game at L40 (27.67 DPS) and stays relevant even after Mega Lucario Z arrives, thanks to better bulk. Mega Mewtwo Y barely moves. Future Sight is too weak of a base for a 12.5% bump to fix. These are just my guesses, not leaks.

There have been some discussions about the datamined moves for the Mewtwo forms and how they would work. Some people were logically comparing these moves to the ones that Apex Lugia and Ho-Oh have. Moreover, all the previous adventure effects were tied to a move usable in battles.

I decided to estimate their BP from a ~12.5% increase on the previous ones. All the moves should also be capped to the closest power, which is a multiple of 5. Therefore, the Future Sight+ tends to be 130 BP and the Dynamic Punch+ would have 95 BP.

Next, I have these moves added to the DPS chart on PokeBase with attackers at L40. I gave the identical copies of both Mega Mewtwos the hypothetical moves.

From the Chart 1, the Mega Mewtwo X would be the best attacker (27.67 DPS) in its category and might get out-DPSed later with the release of Mega Lucario Z while still being a more rounded pick based on ER (Equivalent Rating, a metric that combines DPS and TDO). For context: Mega Lucario Z is the Fighting/Steel Mega from the Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension DLC, not yet released in GO. Its 359 Attack is a huge jump over Mega Lucario's 310, but 161 Defense makes it a glass cannon.

There is a photo of the Chart 2 where the X has regular Dynamic Punch. He'd still be very good (25.86 DPS), but will get outclassed more heavily in the future (Mega Lucario Z has 30.71 DPS).

When reviewing the Mega Mewtwo Y with the + move (Chart 3), it's clear that Future Sight as a base move is very underwhelming and would need a much higher increment of its stats to become viable. The DPS with Future Sight sits at 26.10 while the Psystrike moveset has 28.33.

It's important to note that the provided look into the awaited moves should be taken with a caveat. It can all be completely different in the end with better or worse outcomes. However, it seems like at least the X has some potential if the moves get released with a similar BP.

Do you think the Apex size increment is right, or should it be higher?

P.S. Nevermind, I just found out there are some actual stats already datamined.

My robot lives in a LEGO coral reef and thinks it's a fish

The reef has an anemone, a treasure chest, a pearl clam, a crab under the arch, and a big-mouth fish neighbor. The little robot (an M5Stack StackChan) plays the role of the reef keeper — it looks around when idle, tilts its head when thinking, and its mouth moves when it talks. Finding Nemo vibes were definitely the inspiration for the scene.

The build mixes official set pieces with my own layout. Happy to share details if anyone's curious!

These Water Lilies found their family!!

Since you liked my post of the Mushroom Set in the wild, I thought you might enjoy this one too 😊

Even though they are water lilies I can see them in a cute fairy village or something ❤️ I‘ll put it on my list.

Also - has anyone noticed how cute those translucent shimmery petals are?? ✨

Heavysheller

Though he walks sideways, this Dark Hunter is a straightforward brute. Slow on land, but on the seabed, he’s both unstoppable force and immovable object.

My Jaws Display

I put my displays in boxes because of dust and dirt. It protects them a bit as well from the light. Anyway, I thought this one turned out well. I'm going to be working on making it look more like an ocean or a sea bed underneath ... maybe blue plates or something like that.

Clever water design

Just a moment to appreciate the clever water design in the Tranquil Garden set. The same transparent light blue tiles, but different colors of the plates underneath, giving the illusion of different depths.

Creature from the Black Lagoon vignette

It's nothing particularly special, but this is probably one of my favorite vignettes I've built. A Lego reminder that you don't know what lurks in the deep.

Tabled at my first Lego Convention at Brick Universe Raleigh this weekend!

The first picture is my table of some builds I made, the other pictures are a few excerpts of other members of NCLUG. There were many more but I’m limited on photo uploads.

It was cool being at an event and getting a chance to talk to people in person about my builds, and of course to meet up with other LUG members.

Need ideas:/

Hello everyone I recently got one of my white whale Lego sets the ReefScape Lionfish, and I’d like to incorporate him into my Fish tank set but can’t figure out how to get him inside of it. I’m thinking of taking some of the coral down to get him in there but I’m not sure yet. Here’s some pics so you guys can see the size of them.

Update on my Lego jet boat retrofit, first pool test

Put this together recently, brought it to my dad’s house over the weekend to test it. It handles pretty well, for a fairly rudimentary retrofit, though I worry it’s too heavy for the motor (gets a little warm after just a short test run), so I may try a more involved design than just slapping a modified lower hull section from an existing boat onto the bottom of the Lego hull. Ideally, I think I should aim for a shallower hull and maybe a larger motor, which would be my first time building a custom set up. I’m a novice, so I’m open to suggestions for jet drives, motors, and receivers, if anyone could give me any pointers!
