I've always wanted to play this song just as the original since the day I listened to it. But I was very amateur during the early days and wasn't skilled enough during the release. But after all these years, it feels so good to play this song!!!

The placements time has become really stressful and I'm not able to play music as much as I want to. Inko one-two months ilage undabothundi☹️, but felt a bit relieved after I played smthng today. Also RIP Janaki garu🕊️, legend forever.

My interests peak exactly at important moments like this and I wanna concentrate so I'm staying away even though I want to practice. I hope I get placed as soon as possible, can't deal with ts for long

KONNAKOL is the breathtaking art of performing rhythmic vocal percussion phrases which is said to be originated from the sounds of Mridangam (Indian double sided drum used in Carnatic music).

The grammar typically contains phrases like "Tha Ki Ta Dhi Mi" etc. which is called as SOLKATTU and Konnakol is the art of performing these vocally.

MM Keeravaani has a deep Indian classical musical background and over the years he mastered the art of blending this art form in modern film scores and western orchestra.

He uses these phrases with powerful vocals to emphasize the action/drama on screen. By pairing the hard going percussions and orchestral elements with these powerful vocals and vocal phrases, MMK excels in structuring the rhythmic exclamation and melodic depth required to empower the grand visuals on screen.

The entire 1v100 sequence in Magadheera is filled with such elements, the chase scene in Simhadri, the statue lifting scene in Baahubali The Beginning and many more like these in his career.

This is a small compilation of his exceptional skill in blending the carnatic art in modern music. Not only Konnakol but he uses other highly powerful vocal phrases such as HEYSSA RUDHRASSA and others too which can be observed in tracks like Undying Glory, War and Passion etc. I truly believe that MM Keeravaani has beautifully carried the soul of our culturally rooted music to the global stage and will continue doing it. "Truck Driver's Gear Shift" also known as pump-up modulation is a technique where the key of the song is increased by 2-3 semitones resulting in a brighter feel than the previous key. In songs, this is often done at the end where all the variations are finished and to end on a higher note. For example - My Heart will go on (Titanic), I will always love you by Whitney Houston

But in scores, this is often used to endorse the adrenaline rush or to signify that something epic is going to happen. For example - Star Wars: A new hope by John Williams, Raider's March by John Williams etc, Test Drive by John Powell.

In this particular score, the dark synths flowing in the background and the main vocal "THIRAAREYYY" sets a sense of structure of a war action going on. But as soon as we see Lord Rama going into the main focus, MM Keeravaani hits the clutch and shifts the gears to ascend 3 semitones (from C# to E) with a big choir, making it feel divine and godly.

This is usually done in a smoother way but MMK just smashed through the door which worked extremely well in this context!
