Burger Bowl!

Burger Bowl!

A bed of chopped lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and avocado. Topped with a sprinkle of cheese, a burger patty chopped up and some chunks of toasted hamburger hun. Dressed with ketchup, mustard, burger sauce. All the things. It’s so good!

Editing posts on Reddit

As a relatively new Reddit user, I’m wondering why folks feel the need to document their edits at the bottom of a post. I’ve seen, “Edited for spelling”, or “Edited to add a comma”. I can understand why this might be a good idea if the edit changes the context, especially if it is being changed after the post has gained some traction. But why do people make announcements about fixing their typos? It somehow feels pretentious that the poster thinks I will care that they “edited for an n that was omitted”. What am I missing?

Continue to get wrong address mail…

I’m for the past year or two I get a lot of mail that is not for me, but has the same house number as an address around the corner. So I get mail for 1234 hwy 8, when I am 1234 County road 40. I have, several times, brought stacks of mail into the local post office and they’ve told me they will ask the carrier to be careful. Unfortunately the doppelgänger address is a storage facility so it’s not like I can go knock on their door.

My concern is not so much the erroneous mail that I get; I am happy to take it back to Canada Post in town. Rather, it’s the fact that I assume they are getting MY mail and are just pitching it. (I assume this because recently I bought a new car and surprise! I found out I had an unpaid fine from an automated speed camera—I definitely never got any notices.)

Despite them asking the carrier to be careful I continue to get stacks of mail that is not mine. I have put a sticker on my box asking for mail for NAME on Road Name, but it continues. What’s my next move?? I just want to make sure I’m getting my mail. I have a 5k tax cheque coming soon so…kind of important!

Can’t switch off charging schedule

Love my new 206 phev! While poking around Bluelink in early days, I set up a charging schedule—but then later decided for now I just want to set an alarm and go out and plug it in when rates drop at 7. So I turned off the schedule in bluelink….but the car doesn’t “remember” that I’ve turned it off. The display in the car will show it as being off for a few days and then suddenly “next scheduled charge” is turned on, despite the fact that its still switched off in the app (and I haven’t touched that part of the app in two weeks) I have tried re-booting the app. Any other tricks?!
