Should I buy a second-hand Kindle or wait for a new 6” model?
I’ve been reading for around 5–6 years and recently started using a Kindle for the first time. After actually using one, I really like the experience, but I’m still not sure whether I should buy one.
The main issue is that the Kindle currently available in India is a 7” model, and I personally prefer the size of the 6” Kindle. I find 6” more compact and comfortable to carry around.
I’m currently considering a second-hand Kindle 11th Gen (6”, 16GB) that I can get for around ₹6,200 on Facebook Marketplace. I can inspect it before buying, but obviously there’s no proper retailer warranty.
My other option is to wait and see if Amazon launches a new 6” Kindle in India. I don’t know if or when that will happen, though.
I don’t want to spend money just for the sake of owning one.
So what would you guys do?
1. Buy the used 11th Gen for ~₹6,200?
2. Wait for Amazon to launch a new 6” Kindle?
3. Forget about buying one and continue using my phone/tablet?
Would especially like to hear from people who have owned both a second-hand and a brand-new Kindle.
