Help!! 2009 DGT knobs
My new to me 09 DGT had unoriginal poor fitting knobs. I ordered a set of USA 24 spline from PRS. Only the second volume knob fit decent. The push-pull wouldn’t fit at all. The first volume knob fit but was a bit loose and went down too far. The knob was rubbing slightly on the body. I pulled the back plate to see if the pots had been replaced. They looked original to me. After further inspection inspection of the shafts themselves it tells a different story. One is Brass fine splined and short, one is brass, fine splined and tall, the push pull is zink, coarse splined (metric?) and tall. If they are indeed mix matched imported replacements would I be doing my guitar a disservice by not returning to the originals? This is the nicest guitar I own.
