I need a obd2 that can reset my frm on my 2006 330xi. I need the cheapest option what should I buy. I know you can get like Bluetooth ones and get bimmercode. Do I have to pay for that subscription based? Thanks in advance.

No reverse lights help

Hello I have a 2006 330xi and I cant get my reverse lights to work. I checked fuse 61 and it’s good. I opened the trunk and opened everything up. The bulbs have been replaced and new. I took the rubber piece protecting the trunk wires from the car and I noticed 3 wires have been spliced. 2 brown grounds and another that’s orange and green. I fixed those no change. I believe the reverse light is the black and blue one? I put the car in reverse at tested for voltage at the boot and got no voltage. Any ideas how to fix this. Also are the other lights on the trunk brake lights? They also don’t seem to work. The license plate lights do work though. Thank you

06 330xi n52 exhaust recommendations

Hi, I have a 06 330xi with the n52 and an impressive 240,000 miles. Right now it’s stock nice and quiet, but I was thinking of changing it up. I would prefer not to add anything new just remove. I would also prefer it doesn’t sound like a clapped jdm ricer car that’s about to blow. I also still have to pass emissions in New York State. Any recommendations would be awesome thank you.

Parasitic draw and blowing alternators

My uncle dumped his 2006 330xi e90 n52 at grandfathers house. According to my uncle the car dies after a few days, but if u drive it everyday it’s fine. Eventually though it blows the alternator. New battery but it’s been repeatedly drained a lot. It has a complicated aftermarket radar that’s been professional wired in the dash and the front and back of the car (you can see it hanging out in the video) I unplugged it from its main computer under the steering wheel. I don’t see where it could be plugged in to the fuses so it must be spliced into the harness? After unplugged, it doesn’t seem to draw power after I leave it for 36 hours. However, yesterday I decided to clean the interior with all the doors open and the battery died. It may have been a little low to begin with and I cleaned it for 3 hours. Now im wondering if something (or still the radar.) draws a lot of power when the system is alive, and then the alternator has to work twice as hard during operation. There’s no signs of the car cutting out when I drive it and when it’s running the voltages is around 14. I’m pretty mechanically advanced but I don’t have a lot of experience with electrical issues. The car runs and drives great but also has 240,000 miles. I already have 3 other cars including a 420 sel Mercedes I swapped a 560 into. I’m really busy with college I’m trying to become a gym teacher and my other projects but I want to fix this thing. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you.
