In Mad Men, Conrad Hilton is enraged when Don doesn't fraudulently advertise a Hilton hotel on the Moon.

Don is understandably astounded, as he has a well known dislike of astronauts to begin with.

Say what you will about his faults, but Don does not believe in fraudulent advertising. Fraudulent identity, sure. Fraudulent marriages, why not. Fraudulent check cashing, NO. Fraudulent advertising, NO.

Is Conrad Hilton a delusional megalomaniac? In 1963, NASA was just barely figuring out how to land 2 human beings on the moon inside a tiny capsule. This alone would be one of the most impressive engineering feats in human history, but required a monumental effort over the course of a decade. The technology and resources to construct a luxury hotel on the lunar surface did not exist, and to develop such technology would no doubt cost trillions of dollars even in 1960's money. How is it possible that Conrad Hilton believes he can have one of his hotels on the moon? Should Don Draper have placated this delusion and launched an advertising campaign fraudulently promising vacations to the moon?

I thought I understood this collective bargaining process, but maybe I’m missing something. I’m a classified employee and I checked the new salary schedule as of July 1, 2026 expecting to a see an increase, but my pay rate has not changed. My position is covered by AALA/Teamsters 2010. Are they still implementing increases or should it be reflected in this salary schedule?

I’m looking for someone who can build a garden shed for us, either prefab or custom. I looked up stuff Shed and it was more expensive than I expected. I wanted to get alternate options to see if that is the typical cost or not. Thank you in advance.
