Which clinic

Hey everyone, I some advice.

Long story short I’m in the early stages of transitioning. My partner knows and has been super supportive, right now she’s fixing my corset I got a few years back and helping to make it fitter better. She even jokes saying “If we do get a cat and it attacks you we can call it transphobic”. She’s been amazing and she’s so supportive and lovely,

I’ve been looking into gender clinics and so far the main two in split between is pride in health and gender hormone clinic.

If anyone can give me some advice that would be amazing. I’m really stressed out as I don’t know who to go for.

Both seem really good and I want to be safe and live a happy life but there’s just so much going on I need to know. Both seem to be good as they help me pick the options which are best and safe for me, but there’s blood test and so much info. I also want the best option for myself and from a good trusted place. Just some advice would be amazing.

My collection so far

My Hellblazer collection so far (of graphic novels). These are so hard to get and love the thrill of the hunt. I managed to get most for around £20-£50. The most I paid was £60 for volume 23. Funnily enough volume 24 was only £40 which is lucky cause usually it’s higher. (Volume 15 is on the way)
Honestly, John is such a good character in this series. As a Brit I feel so connected to him; he’s a comic character from my own country who I can relate to. He’s also in a comic universe primarily US based so I like how he stands out and relates to England and shows a lot of our issues in society. I’m also an occultist so again, having a Brit is very relatable for me.

Plus, John is such a powerful and smart character without any of that flying disk shit (like doctor strange). Honestly, for a human with no powers, not a lot of money, he’s really powerful. Dare I say he’s one of the most powerful character in dc.

Green lantern Hal VS sinestro cover

Story time - With the new lantern Show out I’ve been looking back through my old lantern books; does anyone else really love this cover?

Years ago when I was new to comics I loved Batman, loved loved Arkham asylum, then when city came out it blew my mind.

I then went online and started watching blackest night figure reviews and comic stories and fell in love with Green lantern. My dad use to go off to America for work, and being a British kid I always wanted all the green lantern classic figures they had over there in like Toys r us or target (they were hard to find in the uk, plus I got into them a bit late). He got me so many and when I went over I managed to get the sinestro vs Hal set (it’s in storage but I’ll put an picture up from google ).

I just always loved this figure pack and always wanted it, and the cover I fell in love with. I was so lucky because when I found the pack, in box at a comic shop, it came with green lantern issue 60.

I don’t know why but this is my favourite lantern cover of all time and recently I managed to get issue 52. Am I missing any of the other covers that pay homage this? Let me know.

Mcm Birmingham comic con buys

Shame there was only two comic venders at comic…. It’s called comic con. I get it, manga/anime and other stuff, all good no issue. But come on….

Anyway, bought all this from one vender, went back three times. He did me some good deals, even did me £60 on the first silk 1:10. Such a good seller, loads of newstands and cents which is good for me as I’m only collecting those (I don’t like uk pence editions)

The next batch to go

My next cgc batch. Three signed moore books, a mark jewellers spider-man 122, ditko spider-man and my awesome transformers book. Hard to find in the uk, had it shipped form Canada. Some other goodies as well, but they were the ones that stood out to me. The last pic are what I’m waiting to get back. Uk cgc takes forever….

Comic haul wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

My partner is from wales and we’re down to see the Cure, so we spent the day in Cardiff and went to some of my usual comic spots and got these these.

The Atom I managed to squeeze down to £250 and I think that’s a good…. And I didn’t know about the recalled elseworld 80 page, I looked it up, weird story…. Anyway, thanks for reading!

Comic book copy right

Hello all, need some advice on my book. I’m writing a comic and cut a long story short I want to use some images/names in certain scenes.

I was reading a book called lovesick and in it the artist/writer use images from a film called, “Salo” with even the cover of the film on a VHS; there are also some images of the film drawn in the story.

In my book I want to use a smiths poster, use some of the song titles as chapter name and also have some clothing with other stuff like a film called “shock treatment” (the sequel to rocky horror). What I want to know is, is this legal?

So for example using the poster, it’ll be a background image on the wall with maybe a vinyl player and records of some of the other smith album covers like meat is murder.

Then the title of songs like “pretty girls make graves” for chapter names, so for example issue 1, character 1 - “pretty girls make graves”

Also, with names, I’ve said names like Orwell (George Orwell) which is fine, but I wanted to reference soma from brave new world, just the charcter saying, as a joke “thanks for my soma pills….they’ll defiantly help” and soma is the drug from that book.

My goal is to publish under image comics or any other comic company, thank you any help would be great!

Getting slabbed with cgc… but what’s up with it ?

So I finally got my hands on an ASM 33, love Ditko, classic story and art. So I’m going to get it cracked and slabbed with cgc, hoping for around the same grade or higher after a press and clean. But… what’s up with the comic? Is it where they didn’t cut it properly back in the day? I’m worried about cracking the slab if the book is damaged or something.

Steve ditko high

I think everyone has one of those highs were you can’t stop collecting all the books from a certain writer, artist or series. For me, I’ve been on a ditko high and finally my ASM 33 came…. Which I need to ask, what’s up with the top right corner ? I’m getting the booked cracked and slabbed but if that’s something bad… maybe it’s worth keeping it in this slab ?

Also with the addition of first MR.A (underrated and really weird and funny (if you don’t take is seriously)) I now have the big three, first MR.A, first Question and the goat Rorschach!

Ditko collection grows

I’ve been on a big ditko high and I’ve gone all out this week on ditko books. I just bought ASM 33 for £300, bloody white pages as well! I’ll crack the slab and send it to cgc and hopefully get the same or better grade after a quick press and clean. I could not resist getting a MR.A, love the character, love how mad it is. When all these books come I’ll show them off.
