Is it normal she asked me this?

I recently started talking to a sister and I asked her over the phone if she would like to get to know me for a potential marriage and she said yes, then after a few mins i realised that we were not compatible and told her this and then she asked me if i could buy her food. I said no because i dont believe a man should buy a woman anything unless she is my wife because if she would be my wife then it would be my islamic duty to give her food.

So to the ladies, was it normal that she asked me to buy her food after i had told her we are not compatible?

What would it take for gender wars amongst muslims to stop?

Recently in the UK a muslim sister wearing the niqab was harassed in a restaurant when a bunch of nasty kids were throwing food at a sister and she made a post about it on tiktok and it went viral and rightfully so which caused the mothers of those nasty kids to apologise. There were some stupid brothers who blamed the sister and even tried to downplay the whole issue saying it wasnt a big deal as it was only food being thrown and she wasnt harassed by a man at all.

I feel like the same brothers blaming the sister and downplaying the issue contribute to the gender wars amongst the muslim ummah. The prophet besieged a tribe Banu Qaynuqa after a muslim woman was assaulted by a yahudi goldsmith and the yahudi goldsmith was exterminated by a muslim man and after a few yahudis from Banu Qaynuqa later killed the muslim man who retaliated after the woman was assaulted.

The ummah as a whole need to start restoring their iman and do more righteous so we may rectify ourselves.

I'm specifically asking as id like to know how much money the wives get for the men that have good earnings/well paid careers and if the wife is staying at home or if she works part time or if she even receives an allowance if she works full time which may be a factor in how much allowance the woman gets.

Im looking for an acceptable ballpark figure for a wifes allowance if she works part time or wants to be a SAHW/SAHM. Obviously the cost of living needs to be factored in as everything is getting expensive these days.
