Woman minimalistic shoes for the gym - parkour

Hi! I have been using barefoot shoes for 3 years now. I basically wear the same shoes every day and I have a pair of sneakers and a pair of winter boots. I've never actually truly experimented with barefoot shoes.

I have always trained barefoot (with no shoes, no socks), I usually do some low weightlifting and body weight hiit.

But recently I started being interested in parkour, so I want to train jumping, landing, some speed running, and some equilibrium excercises so I'd like to start using shoes that can support me while jumping etc. I still want the shoes to be barefoot, but the sneakers I use (from feelgrounds) are too thin and I don't want to hurt myself especially when landing on gravel or rocks.

I checked **vivobarefoot, saguaro, xero** online.

I find that **vivo's** sole seems to be smoother so I am worried about slipping and wear and tear.

**Saguaro** are interesting in terms of price but there are so many models (motion, free, vigor, fast) I don't understand the differences.

**Xero** shoes also seem good, I was looking at the hfs II and the sole seems solid, but they look chunky, so I am worried they would feel too big?

I am also worried about width, since I have tried some barefoot shoes in the past and they were uncomfortable (e.g. the be lenka, they were too long in the first toe but too short towards the 4th and 5th toe) I'd say I have a Roman foot type.

Please do not suggest I buy different models and then return them because I don't want to do that.

I am autistic and I can't take a decision without analyzing every detail, so please be kind to my long post and me 😄

Thanks!

Why is that only those with the vegan flair can reply to questions?

Reddit keeps showing me posts from this sub, most of them about plant based diet or nutrition or being vegan in my country and it took me a while to realise I couldn't directly reply to these questions because I don't use a vegan flair. As per rule #6 "If you're not a vegan, don't answer questions. All top-level comments must be by a flaired vegan"

Now, while on one hand I understand the concern about avoiding non vegans giving advice on something they don't know, there are many of us who live a vegan lifestyle without necessarily identifying as vegans. I have my personal reasons to not want to use the vegan flair but I'd love to contribute to questions.

So I was wondering if the mods have thought about extending the right to top-level comment to plant based folks and others.

Thank you for the clarification 💕

EDIT: this question was meant to be just a question for the mods asking the reason about the strict rule for the vegan flair. It was not meant to be a debate, but since many of you insisted on asking me the personal reason for me not using the label (which was NOT the topic of my question) I replied. And yet some of you took it personally 🤷🏼

Other than that, thank you to all those who kept a polite dialogue and helped me realise a few things about myself and why I refuse labels, this has been very helpful and even though it didn't directly answer my question, it helped me understand how the flairs are used specifically on this post. So I'd say I got the answer to my question 💕

Merci!
