Does anybody else sweat uncontrollably?

In the mornings when I’m preparing to leave my house, after I shower and get dressed, and start packing my bag I begin to sweat. I don’t mean perspire. I mean buckets. It gets worse when I get on the subway and often times I’ll have to sit in my office with door closed and my shirt off in front of a fan just to get regulated.

I’m currently at a convention for fun and I went down for breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Was feeling fine. Sat down at a table next to another guy also dining solo. He struck up a conversation. He’s also at the convention. It was pleasant enough, though I was irked by a comment he made after i answered a question. But it was harmless enough.

Anyway, as we’re talking, like the moment he opens his mouth i start to sweat. My forehead. My torso. The back of my neck. The back of my head wasn’t that wet when I got out of the shower. I was so uncomfortable I wanted to scream and run away but my food hadn’t even arrived.

After a walk around the block it started to subside.

It’s dinner time. I’ve showered again. But I’m afraid to leave my room because i don’t want to sweat again. It’s the worst feeling in the world.

Does anybody else experience this?

Edited to add: I really want to thank everybody that replied to this. It’s not often I can ask a question like this and not regret it. I’ve got two leads to chase down now. Thank you.

Anthropic refuses to take take my money

Since yesterday, about 24 hours ago, I have been unable to purchase credits on anthropic. Around 11 am yesterday, I purchased some with no issue. A subsequent attempt to purchase credits was unsuccessful.

It went through the whole purchase process, said it was adding credits to my account, almost there, and then the transaction fails. I get a popup window with a red message saying the transaction failed, followed by an email saying the same thing.

The transaction is not going through to the bank, however. I called the bank. They said everything is fine with my card and they do not see the dozen or so failed attempts to purchase with anthropic.

Requesting assistance from the chatbot on the website tells me they'll connect me with a person but then they end the chat while I'm waiting and tell me to read a FAQ instead.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Has anything worked to get around this?

I have recently discovered some water damage in my walls and I'm mystified as to the source.

It is a townhouse approximately 15-20 years old. I am the third owner and have been here 7 or 8 years.

It is an inside unit with neighbours on either side and behind. It has a flat roof. The roof was replaced three or four years ago.

Two years ago I noticed water damage on the ceiling of the second floor bathroom. After opening up ceilings and walls, we discovered that when the house was built the drywallers had put drywall nails through the drainpipe that runs from the roof through the wall in my closet and bedroom, and down to the second floor. We taped over those holes and everything was fine. We repaired the drywall.

A few weeks ago, I noticed water damage on the new drywall in the closet. The drywall was bubbling on a horizontal line, perpendicular to the floor, aligned with the seams of the drywall replacement from the earlier leak, along with new damage on the ceiling. There were two spots where there was damage, both horizontal seams.

In January we had a massive snow storm with at least four or five feet piled up on the roof and it took weeks to melt. Then in March we had a few days of heavy rain. It was after this I noticed the bubbling and the wall felt damp.

Opened up the wall today and tried to recreate the leak. Flooded my roof, listened to bathtubs worth of water flow down the drain. Everything is dry. No leak. No sign of any water damage except that noticed on the outside of the wall.

It looks like this

closet wall -> |O| <- bedroom wall

the space between the walls is only enough for the drain. There is only water damage on the drywall that forms the closet wall. there is no damage to the bedroom wall, either the exposed side, or the side that is basically touching the pipe.

The plumber said he had never seen anything like this but I'm not so lucky that I would experience something no one else in the world has experienced (though if I was, it would probably be this).

The plumbers best guess is that it was the result of the massive snow and heavy rains, unusual for my area, that caused this.

I tend to agree, but it doesn't explain why just one wall has damage, and pretty significant damage at that.

I'm at a loss as to what to do except repair the drywall and wait to see if it happens again.

Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.
