Centerdrive ... enough said.
Here's my Centerdrive, testament of what a brute tool it can be.

Here's my Centerdrive, testament of what a brute tool it can be.
Just got an almost unused Coyote /Black Signal; here it is flanked by some others I have (and yes, I like the platform very much, thank you!).
My new-to-me, early Gerber 700 Urban Legend (L), and my 800 Legend(R). Notice the "Gerber USA" on pliers head, and Micra-style tweezers of the 700; latter ones did not had the "USA", and used flat-style tweezers. Also, the early ones had angled edges on the replaceable cutters, versus the flatter latter ones.
edit- The 700/800 were the first outside accessible, butterfly type multitools from Gerber; the first butterfly was the MPT, which was similar to the PST of that era.
Just made another bladeless; "Classic" Silver Bladeless with blunt-nose pliers head.
Quite compact, comprehensive, and doesn't weight a lot.
My OE MP600 Bladeless, and my "Classic Silver" MP600 Bladeless clone.
Although I know the only "perfect" SAK (or anything for that matter) exists in a very specific timeframe in a specific moment at every stage of life, I'm convinced that these two sadly discontinued models, are the closest to that conception for my urban EDC. Is either one the same to you; what's your "perfect", everyday 91mm?
Here's a tool that should've existed, would've sold well, and would've been great: smaller, more compact and more manageable than the MP600; great for pocket-carry, with the same full-size implements like the MP600. A bit lighter, with a more needlenose pliers head over the MP600. Perfect for no-knives/blades environments.
Just finished my "new grail", a Yeoman Mechanic; so much "handiness" in a quite compact package. Those mini pliers/"super tweezers" come in super handy for jewelry jump rings, picking small objects like pins, washers, needle, small ball bearings; reaching into small gaps, pulling unwanted hairs and ticks, cutting paperlips and small gauge wires, pulling staples, crushing fish food pellets, among other tasks. The mag lens, well, helps a lot with my aging eyesight, and the hook file for whenever a nail pulls and shears. The combo tool is more than adequate for my uses so, no complaints there. All in all, it might even replace my weekend/out of the work Yeoman and my at-home Deluxe Climber!
Any other Yeoman "out in the wild today"!?!? Has become my favorite urban EDC!
Being "Team Corkscrew", I prefer the Deluxe Climber over the Deluxe Tinker; just finished re-scaling this beauty for home use/collection.
Just received the last of the five OE pliers head for the MP650 Evo., the Technician's, to complete my set. It took some time to find one "at the right price and condition" but, was worth the wait. The last picture is with a one-of needlenose pliers head with replaceable inserts. I like the MP Series, but this quirky tool, a lot! Now to be on the lookout for the Gerber's, OE nylon case for the set.
Recognizing that I'm quite weak against temptation, here are my "broken promises of no new pens": Monteverde Axis in Matte Purple (F nib) and Kaweco AC Sport in orange (M NIB).
For being someone up to 6 months ago who didn't "see purpose" in the Skeletool, this has gone 180°! From top: CX (user, collection/spare, "TM"), standard "TM", RX, Knifeless, standard OE, standard with PE blade.
Broke the other pliers "pocket/clip", where the pliers rest in the handles. The model has beem D/C'd for a while now, but I like it very much for around-the-house chores. For those following the tool's price, its hard to justify a "replacement" set; here's my take. Using a Dremel, diamond bit points, cutting wheel and a Sharpie, I fashioned the replacement pockets seen here from the solid part of a worm-gear hose clamp. Although not fully OE now, it is every bit as functional as it was before, so anyone else with this problem, here's one solution.
As I posted on another thread about one of my modified tools and why I made it knifeless (work/job restriction), I decided to take out and picture all of mine; here's my knifeless collection! What knifeless do you have, either OE or modified?
Just finished my USGI MP collection, with the arrival of the Sight Tool! From center top, clockwise: MP650, Sight Tool, early 600 in B.O., late 600 in B.O., early 600 in silver, late 600 in silver, and EOD/DET.
