Genuinely outreaching to business, trying to solve their real problem but they keep declining.

I have been doing outreach to local businesses lately and noticed a pattern: a lot of new startups launch with just an Instagram page, no website.

Feels fine early on, but it means anyone searching "[service] near me" on Google never finds them. Invisible to a huge chunk of potential customers before they even get a chance to compete.

I've been helping a few fix this with simple, functional sites built to actually be found, not just to exist.

If anyone here knows a founder in this exact spot, no website yet, or one that's been abandoned, I'd genuinely appreciate a connection. Happy to take an honest look and tell them straight if it's worth fixing.

Not selling here, just building something and glad to trade insight if anyone's tackling a similar problem.

8 months after a haram relationship ending. Yet struggling with guilt, isolation and fear about my future

Salaam everyone.

I'm a 20 year old Muslim (male) going through what I can only describe as the hardest season of my life and I'm looking for some genuine Islamic advice and perspective.

Over the past year I went through a serious relationship that reached marriage discussions. It started the wrong way outside proper Islamic boundaries and I take full accountability for that. We genuinely loved each other but family circumstances made it impossible. Her parents wouldn't wait. Mine weren't ready. It ended despite real feelings on both sides. And after it ended we completely stopped talking and I am not in contact with her now. I have deleted every picture of her and so on. I am not holding onto anything that will remind me of her.

Without going into detail, we crossed some physical boundaries that we shouldn't have. Just to elaborate we did not do zina. But still it felt like I have weight on my chest.

I discussed how bad I felt with her too and we decided to not do it again we held that boundary till the end.

I've made tawbah but I struggle to feel truly forgiven.

It's been almost 8 months since the breakup. I've tried to move forward. And in many ways I have. But I still struggle with certain things I want Islamic guidance on:

  1. How do I truly internalize Allah's forgiveness and stop punishing myself for sins I've already made tawbah for?

I sometimes feel like my current hardships are punishment from Allah for what I did. Is this the right way to think about difficulty in Islam or am I misunderstanding qadr?

  1. I've become quite isolated. My social circle is small and distant. I'm struggling to find purpose without the structure of university or a relationship. How do I reconnect with Allah as my primary source of peace and purpose?

  2. I fear that my past mistakes will affect my future, specifically who Allah will write for me as a spouse. The ayah about good men for good women weighs on me. How should I understand this as someone who has sinned but genuinely repented?

Also, I'm not looking for judgment. I've judged myself enough. I'm looking for brothers and sisters who can offer genuine Islamic wisdom on moving forward with hope rather than guilt.

JazakAllah khair.

Building something and need a website? Let's talk.

Hi UAE founders and business owners!

I'm Haris, based in Sharjah. I've spent the last 6 years in marketing and 3 years in web development, and I recently started helping local businesses get online with clean, functional websites. The ones that actually bring in customers, not just exist.

A bit about what I do:

  • Build simple, professional websites for local businesses (399 AED to start)
  • Include a WhatsApp button and Google Maps pin so customers can reach you fast
  • Handle hosting and maintenance so you don't have to think about it
  • Already built one for a landscaping business, and genuinely enjoy this work: the problem-solving, the back and forth with an owner figuring out exactly what they need, watching something go from nothing to live

If you're building something and don't have a website yet, or your current one needs a refresh, I'd love to help. And if you're not the right person but know someone who is, small business, startup, anyone- I'd really appreciate the connection.

Happy to share examples of my work or just chat about what you're building. No pressure, just putting myself out there.

Good luck to everyone building something from scratch here, it's not easy, and I respect anyone doing it. 🇦🇪

"Curtin Dubai vs UoS vs UOWD vs Ajman for Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering — honest opinions needed"

Choosing between these for mechanical/mechatronics engineering — what's the real experience like?

- Curtin Dubai (Mechanical) — scholarship available

- University of Sharjah (Mechanical)

- UOWD (Mechatronics)

- Ajman University (Mechanical)

Goal is to eventually build a business in robotics and automation, not work as a salaried engineer.

Is Curtin Dubai a legit engineering program or just a business school with engineering bolted on? How does UoS compare in terms of labs and teaching quality? Is mechatronics at UOWD worth it over mechanical elsewhere?

Anyone studied at these or knows someone who has — honest opinions only.
