Felt weird around my mom

So i went with my family on my first ever international trip, super excited but excitement was short lived as there i saw a side of my mom which i had never seen before, my mom here in india mosty wears those long kurtas and traditional clothing, for the first time in my life i saw her in bikini on the beach. Im mean i have seen those a lot in movies but could never imagine mom in one and was super uncomfortable, idk as a girl i should be happy she is comfortable in her skin but it was super embarrassing, i couldnt even look in her eyes, i wished i didnt have to see this day 😭

Am I overthinking revealing outfits?

This might sound like a total aunty opinion 😅, but I’m genuinely curious.

I recently went on my first international trip with some friends, and for the first time I tried wearing more revealing clothes, including a thong bikini and a couple of dresses that were way more revealing than what I’m used to.

Honestly, I felt so uncomfortable. I felt really exposed, kept adjusting everything every few steps, and was super self-conscious the whole time.

What surprised me was how normal my friends seemed. They looked completely relaxed and confident. At the beach, there were so many girls my age wearing thongs and not seeming bothered at all.

I’ve also noticed that a lot of Indian women nowadays are totally comfortable wearing bikinis, deep-neck tops, and other revealing outfits. I mean this with zero judgment , It just makes me wonder if I’m lagging behind in terms of fashion or body confidence 😅 , also like dont they feel exposed like i did, like it doesn't even hide the privates properly, I could see my friends public hair and nip slips also kept happening, like dude u are almost naked

Do people just get used to it over time or this is how fashion is nowadays, Or am I simply overthinking this
