New Email re: IDR Application

I completed an IDR at the end of June that was approved in less than 24 hours. I was one of those who was told it would be $50 in the estimate, then jumped to $330 when approved. I am waiting on buyback (2/25, IIRC) and so I requested forbearance instead so wait it out.

I just got this email and am wondering if I actually need to re-apply since I'm on forbearance? I'm in the chat queue so I figured I might as well post in case anyone has gotten this and gotten further than me so far.

Dear AgressiveCrab6702,

You recently applied for an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan to repay your federal student loans. Due to an error, you received an incorrect monthly payment amount. You must submit a new IDR application to enroll in the plan of your choosing and receive the correct monthly payment amount under that plan.

You may have received a notification from your loan servicer indicating your application was processed. If you have not received this notification, your application was not processed and has been canceled. You can confirm the status of your application by logging in to StudentAid.gov and navigating to "My Activity." We apologize for any inconvenience.

Google Messages on Wi-Fi tablet

Hello!

I am looking to see if Google Messages will work on a WiFi-only tablet (likely Samsung) if I adjust settings on a cell phone? My dad is in memory care and we are looking into a tablet instead of phone for him so he has a bigger screen, but will need to retain the ability to send and receive texts, preferably without a 5G/data option.

If his phone is at my house, connected to the network and powered on, will he be able to send and receive texts via his Wi-Fi-connected tablet at his memory care facility? I'm having a hard time finding a clear answer with what little time I have available to research - apologies! Just trying to keep my head above water with my own children, work, and a father whose brain works differently on a daily basis.

Echo Show for Dad in Memory Care

We recently put my dad in a memory care facility, and it does not come with the Music Choice channels he loved on from his previous cable provider (and it's literally over $100/mo to make that happen now). I was under the impression I could setup an Echo Show using the stations he likes through Amazon Music (not exact, but close) but this widget is absolute garbage. I tried to create his own profile, but "favorites" brings up the music and albums I have liked in the past. Setting up a "routine" would freak him out, and I'd prefer to not use voice recognition, as he can be difficult to understand pretty often.

I don't want him to have access to other profiles, shopping, etc - literally just bought the dang thing so he could have potentially easier access to the music he wants to listen to, but I already want to chuck this device across the room. Did I make a mistake? Should I re-create it as a kids' profile? Is this just not the right option for this situation, and if not, I am desperately accepting suggestions for something else. He had a Samsung TV briefly and we could've used that for Music Choice, but it was so horribly slow that it took 30+ seconds to respond to each button click. He has a Roku TV now which is much better, but does not have a Music Choice app. Streaming from a phone or computer to the TV is too much for him to handle.

Also, is there ANY way to disable the constant Alexa+ questions widget? Again, I don't need him getting into stuff - I don't even know whose clothes he has on today.

Thanks!

What happened to Plae?

I've ordered shoes for my kids from Plae for at least 4 years at this point. My last order has not shipped, no one is responding to messages, emails, texts, social media responses. Their socials haven't been updated in months, and there are comments from quite a few people asking why customer service isn't responding and orders aren't being shipped. I went ahead and disputed the charge on my card, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows what's going on?

Studentaid.gov calculation error

I started to panic about nothing changing for the better with SAVE and studentaid.gov said my monthly payments would be $50, so I went with it knowing my buyback should process in the next 6 months and if not, I only have 6 months left anyway so I can handle that.

Y'all. Mohela just said my payments are going to be $311. Over 6x what I was told. I didn't know about the glitch until after I submitted. Is there ANY way to fix this? This is absolutely going to break me. My total for 6 months was going to be less than the one month amount they changed it to. Who do I reach out to? I'm so screwed.

Hello!

I have had 3 (assumed) bites appear over the last two-ish weeks. The first was on the outside of my right thigh just above my knee, the second just below my knee on my outer left shin, and this morning, one right along my achilles tendon on my left foot. They are sporadically itchy, and appeared fluid-filled but did not easily pop at first (I popped the initial two this weekend after getting severely annoyed. There was a small bit of clear fluid.) The latest looks like an ant bite, but I have not felt any of these bites occur and don't know where they could be coming from. The inside of my left ankle is currently very itchy so I wonder if another... whatever this is... is forming, or if it's just me thinking about how itchy the other one should be. I tried various identification charts but am coming up short. The *only* thing I can think of is that my husband took our quilt out of the linen closet after a full year or so and may have put it on the bed without washing first, but I'd assume that whatever these are, there are far more to give more than just one bite every few days if they were on the quilt. I'm located in Virginia. Thank you for any insight!

First- about two weeks ago, outer right thigh

Second, a few days later, outer left calf just below knee

Third, left achilles, appeared overnight. Not itchy yet, painful if pressed.
