Side effects. How soon did they hit you after your dose?

I realize everyone is different so im interested in hearing from folks who did have side effects, how soon after dosing did they appear? Im hearing different things like take it at night so you sleep through the yucky feeling but do they really hit that fast?

Peripheral neuropathy

Looking for advice for peptides to help my mom.

She had polio as a kid. She has nerve damage to her spine. The older she gets, the more her pain increases, and mobility and strength decrease. She is brilliant and kind and deserves the world. All she wants is to enjoy the time she has left with her grandkids and continue advocating for supports for unhoused and disabled people in her community.

What should she start with peptides? She is open to self administration of grey market injectables, despite the risks. I've been scrolling the threads but still a total newb. First google search suggested BCP-157 and from what I have gathered that could be a good place to start.

I would love some guidance please and thank so much.

ETA: She is 73yo and gets rehab therapy.

Protein goals

47F, taking my first dose this weekend.

How much protein do really I need to aim for daily?

And is it ok to get most of my protein from whey isolate? Because I already have an aversion to eating meat and cannot eat eggs at all (blame the tism).

I want to preserve as much muscle as possible.

I realize I also need to do resistance training and I have already started that.

I’m not looking for meal ideas advice just what my daily protein goal should be and if there’s a downside to getting most of it from whey isolate shakes.

TIA

ULPT bleach cleaner smell from neighbours apartment

Backstory: I have a next door neighbour in an apartment building who I have had problems with in the past. She suffers from alcoholism and I tried being nice and compassionate with her but that just led to her trying to bully me into drives to the liquor store, banging on my door all times of night demanding to be let in, asking for money, etc. I’ve had to call the cops on her more than once.

A few months ago I smelled a urine smell in my daughter’s bedroom that shares a wall with this neighbour. It smelled so bad you couldn’t even go in the bedroom let alone sleep in there. I wasn’t sure it was coming from her place so I didn’t do anything at first. I put a dehumidifier in the room for a few days, cleaned everything extremely well and replaced my daughter’s mattress just in case it was coming from inside the room. It didn’t help so I went to building management. I don’t blame the neighbour at this point just told them there was a urine smell and we couldn’t even use the room. My daughter has been sleeping in the living room ever since. Building management investigated and told me it was coming from the neighbours apartment where something allegedly got spilled in the room with the shared wall and that she would take care of it. A few days later came the bleach/lysol smell — iykyk.

The smell is so strong it’s seeping into the rest of our apartment. It’s in the hallway too. We haven’t been able to use that bedroom in months. I have to have towels under the door and a fan in the window blowing outside 24/day just to avoid having the smell seep into the rest of our living space. I went to management again. He said he talked to her again and she would “go easy on the bleach.” She hasn’t. Mgmt now says there’s “not much” they can do. They have agreed to move me to a new (MUCH nicer) building while keeping my (very low grandfathered) rental rate but we wont be able to move in until September 1st.

I want to blast fart spray into her open window at night or something but I don’t want to get arrested lol. What are my options?

How do you motivate yourself to exercise?

I am picking up my first prescription tomorrow so I haven’t started yet, but I told myself to start getting some exercise today because we all know how “I’ll start tomorrow” goes.

How do motivate myself to get off the couch? Working out makes me want to cry because my body feels like one of those tin of pislbury dough that you pop open with a spoon, like literally bursting at the seams.

New Ozempic user

Hi everyone. This is my first reddit post ever. I've been reading here for a long time, desperate to get healthy again. I am a 47 year old woman, 5'2, 165 pounds. I just got approved for Ozempic for weight loss and just waiting for my pharmacy to fill the script.

I was so scared to ask my doctor about it because I think I was in denial about how much I had gained. I have always been active and always maintained around 125-130 my entire adult life without "trying" too hard but the last 2 years, it has been creeping up on me. I'm tired all the time and feel very uncomfortable in my body to the point I have given up the gym because it just makes me want to cry. I weighed in my doctor's office and he determined I am actually borderline obese. I've gained 30 pounds in 2 years without much of a change in my lifestyle. I didn't even have to ask for it, the first thing out of his mouth was "have you heard of GLP-1?" Honestly, I had to quell my excitement!

So... I guess my purpose here is to keep a journal of my experience to help me stay motivated because I know it takes more than just a weekly dose and for my health to reappear overnight with no other effort on my part. My goal weight is 135 to start.

I've read all the tips and experiences and I know it's different for everyone but if anyone wants to chime in on how to push through the first week or get back on track with motivation to workout, I would really appreciate a buddy. I've never had to "lose weight" before and I have no idea how to plan a healthy diet.
