Young Adults of South Dakota

Hi, I 21(M) will be completing my bachelor's degree in a couple of years in accounting and looking for new place to live after I graduate. I was wondering how the job market in South Dakota more specifically Sioux Falls or Rapid City for new grad accountants and new grads in general. I'm from South Florida where the weather is hot and humid all year round and I'm ready for a completely new change of scenery. How is the life here in this city and is it young adult friendly? What are the most popular things to do and how easy is it to meet people? I'm also a Black guy so, how is the diversity, I know it has a majority White population as well as a decent sized Native American population too? Just give me general advice please, I'm in love with the Midwest and need ANY ADIVCE. PLEASE HELP

Accountants of Pittsburgh

Hi, I 21(M) will be completing my degree soon in accounting and looking for new place to live after I graduate. I was wondering how the job market in Pittsburgh/Western PA for new grad accountants. I'm from South Florida and I'm looking to relocate somewhere affordable. Is the job market soul crushing and difficult for people with no internship experience yet?

Climate Migration and being prepared.

Hi, 21(M) and I'm currently in university completing my degree and I've recently learned about Climate Migration and with how hot it is getting in the South. I do not see myself living in an area with flooding, massive hurricanes, and rising temperatures. I know people all over the world will immigrate to the US and I do not want to be unprepared for the new world that's coming.

Where do you suggest moving to, in order to combat this issue. I still live at home but I'm planning on moving away from South Florida and I want to relocate to a city in the Midwest (Mostly the Upper Midwest). Any suggestions, because while many people deny this glaring issue, I'd rather live in a state with an abundance of water and I can always layer up.

So, I (m21) just finished and passed Intermediate 1, so this means I'm sticking with this major fully and for the foreseeable future, this will be my career. I currently live in South Florida which is a very popular state for this career but I'm serious trying to leave my home state after I graduate next year (hopefully). So, I'm seriously thinking about the Midwest and how that region is the move for me. It is something completely the opposite of South and I want to know from other accountants in the region. I've drafted a list of potential states/cities to consider where I want to begin my post grad life. These cities are the some of the major cities in their states, but it isn't the Miami space which is what I want.

Cities:

  1. Des Moines, IA

  2. Omaha, NE

  3. Cincinnati, OH

  4. Indianapolis, IN

  5. Wichita, KS

Which of these cities would be the best for a post grad life? Something not too expensive but good enough jobs that a single person can survive and good enough number of jobs that I'm not stuck at the same company forever.
