I see this statement that Maximus would fight Spartacus or try to put the rebellion down and it completely misunderstands both characters, the era’s politics and these two characters. Maximus is highly supportive of rome but why? He lives in 180 ad rome being from spain. Marcus Aurlieus would have taken power when Maximus was only 11 years old. For his entire adult life he saw the empire ruled by a wise gentle and caring man. He also had a father son type of relationship with him for most of his life. This led him to see rome as the most stable and least brutal civilization that allowed people to live in peace for the most part. Though they did have slavery it was significantly different than the slavery of 73 bc Capua which was almost complete Chattel slavery. Maximus valued the wisdom and kindness of Marcus Aurelius. So much so he risks his life by refusing the hand of Commodus. Now if you were to put him into 75 bc capua where slaves have absolutely no rights everyone was just vying for power nobody caring about the common people he would never have developed a love for rome. The Rome Maximus loved did not exist at the time. Maximus would have found this type of government appalling as it is completely against everything he values that he fought for. When he saw slaves fighting back against their chains fighting with honor for a better life for the most vulnerable people in bondage he would fight for this cause. Spartacus would represent his morals much more and he would join him. What people miss when analyzing this is the vast amount of time between the two eras and the differences between them.

This is a mix of theroy and headcanon but i believe that Daenerys really did enter the afterlife while in the house of the undying. While jon snow does say he remembers nothing from being dead its very plausible etheir his memory was lost after his resercution or due to the fact he wasnt dead permanently never actually entered the afterlife.

One thing i love when you see ned watching Arya train is the fact it’s dawning on him many of his children will see the horrors of combat the way he did. Jon had gone to the nights watch, Robb was a going to be a lord which meant he could end up in battle and Arya was training with a blade likely to end up a warrior. He felt a deep worry as a father in that moment.

For starters im extremely excited for this film ive wanted a massive odyssey adaptation for a while as its one of my favorite stories and to see nolon do it and the trailers looking great makes me extremely excited. What im wondering is when this film comes out if it is a fairly accurate and well received film that stands the test of time in the cultural landscape how will it impact the story being taught in schools? Currently its taught typically in high school to an audience of high schoolers who know very little about the story before hand however with a christopher nolon blockbuster on the horizon this is about to change. New generations will grow up knowing the story from a much younger age and so how will this impact the stories role in school curriculums? (For context I remember going over the odyssey in school but as i had already read it don’t remember much about how it was taught other than being upset at the fact our teacher skipped a few parts)

No support should be left of stannis after he killed shireen. It doesnt matter what he reason was he chose to put a child on a pyre to burn alive. That is completely irredeemable and proves he was never worthy of being king in the first place and honestly davos was a better father to her than stannis ever was.

Im a very big fan of both the show and its source material fire and blood. I however read the books before seeing the show and so its left me curious. How do those of you who havent read the book expect this show to end.

Its all but confirmed the fall of kings landing sill happen in ep 2 and eps 3 and 4 will cover all the political fall out of this which places aemonds attack on harrenhall in ep 5 the butchers ball in 6 and tumbleton in 7 so ep 8 it only makes sense to me if its gods eye as after tumbleton daemon and nettles (replaced by rhanea) go hunt aemond so it makes sense that we end the season with a bang with daemon and aemonds death plus matt smith as the star power is the hardest to work scheduling with so theirs some behind the scenes motivation to kill him off

Every time i read the book im flabbergasted at how stupid the greens were for putting aegon on the field of battle and acting like it was some Nobel thing when their already usupers its not nobel its its just stupid to put the person you want as king on the battlefield

How do you think the general audience who hasnt read fire and blood will feel about season 4 and the ending as a whole

Fire and blood is one part of a two part targaryen history and we know the second part has been in the works for awhile and i think i have a theroy on when it will release 2028 because that will be the release of the finale of house of the dragon which adapts the back half of fire and blood and itll be the ten year anniversary of fire and blood we also know aegons conquest will be coming out pretty soon so i could see it correlating with that

The biggest mistake robb made was ever trusting walder frey. Wether he married freys daughter or not walder frey would have turned because he was always playing both sides always going to take who he thought would win. Had he avoided the freys the Lannisters probably wouldnt have been able to get to the starks as easily

Theres something so real about him ironic i know but really i mean the odds of running into someone like a comic book villain are low but tyler a cult leader leading a cult of toxic masculinity that could happen an also the way the movie depicts how cults form pretty realisticly makes it all the more terrifying

We always hear people say “life is short” and shit like that but reality is humans usually live for plenty of time most dying people feel ready and at peace and its healthy to know that you should take your time enjoy all the little things because if everything goes right you have the time you need and youll be here quite awhile so enjoy it all the little things take your time dont rush things
