Homebrew Worlds/Campaigns?

I'm very interested in the system, but I was curious about how Sword World works with custom worlds and settings rather than campaigns set in Raxia. Does reflavoring or changing class/race restrictions or anything like that negatively impact the experience?

Also, is the experience the same as long as it keeps the mainstays of the system intact? Such as the world having an adventurer's guild or something similar.

Does anyone have any experience running SW within their own worlds/campaigns? Any insight would be appreciated

Should I Be Worried? (WA, USA)

Found this in my laundry room (fairly big), and it brought an army. What kind of spider is it, and how worried should I be?

Charmed Condition?

I'm looking to introduce a Charmed condition through an adversary in my campaign. The idea isn't to wrest control from PCs, but rather to have a PC play out how they would act under the control of this adversary.

Is there an elegant way to do this within the rules of the system? I've seen some similar conditions, but they don't have that element of player control and have the ability to end the condition by marking two stress.
