Half-remembered Japanese animated film from my childhood

Hi ! I'm looking for a Japanese animated film I watched in the 2000s. Here's what I remember:

Main plot:

- The two main characters are a human man and a female vampire. Their relationship starts dramatic but ends as a romance with a happy ending.

- The vampire woman uses a parasol/sunshade (probably to protect herself from sunlight).

Key scene I remember most:

- At some point, the two characters end up in a strange, psychedelic/surreal dimension. This world is some kind of reincarnation cycle — souls pass through it and lose their memories as they're reborn.

- To avoid losing their memories, they have to dodge large hammer-like obstacles that swing or fall at them — getting hit means having your memories erased.

- At one point, the male character temporarily regresses and becomes a baby.

- After escaping this world, there's a scene where the man catches/retrieves the vampire woman's parasol.

Other details:

- I believe the vampire woman may have had purple hair (not 100% sure).

- The film had a happy ending.

- It was probably a standalone movie, not a series.

- Style felt like early-to-mid 2000s Japanese animation.

Does anyone recognize this? Any help appreciated!

Hi everyone!

The new official SnK (Attack on Titan) concert has just been announced: Symphony from Paradis! It’s being produced once again by the Wild Faery orchestra (the team behind the Beyond the Wall tour) and is being arranged and supervised by Hiroyuki Sawano and Kohta Yamamoto themselves!

Does anyone have more info on how this differs from the previous tour? From what I’ve gathered, this new concert is supposed to be a step up in terms of musical scale, meaning more performers, instruments, and a larger choir for a true symphonic experience.

And most importantly, we might finally get some tracks that were missing from Beyond the Wall, like T-KT !

Either way, I am beyond hyped. We’re finally getting the SnK concert treatment abroad !

Hello everyone!

I’m 27 years old and looking to make a career change. I currently work in cat breeding, but my health can be a bit fragile (Crohn’s disease), and the physical demands of the job are starting to take their toll.

I’ve been searching for a new path for months. I first came across video editing, but the more I researched, the more I kept hearing about Motion Design.

As a big YouTube consumer, I see it everywhere. I’ve always found it impressive and fascinating, though I haven’t really tried it myself—except for back in the day when I made a custom intro on Cinema 4D (what a time to be alive! 😂).

I’d love to get some feedback from people making a living in Motion Design. (Since I’m based in France, I’d especially love to hear from French designers regarding the local market!)

Is it possible to learn this job at 27 (through bootcamps or certifications, for example) especially when I have 0 expérience ?

How steep is the learning curve? Is it difficult to master?

Do you need to wear "two hats" (Video Editor + Motion Designer)?

How is the competition lately? Is the market oversaturated?

Are you mostly freelance or salaried?

Is AI a threat to the profession, or just a helpful tool?

What do you love most about this job?

In your opinion, what are the essential qualities needed to succeed?

Sorry for the barrage of questions!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Have a great day! 😊
