I left my Ecovacs Deebot T50 Max Pro Omni alone for three days...

For three days I let the robot do its cleaning routine, and didn't check anything on it. It ran 3 times a day in different parts of the house, and the only thing I did was empty the dirty water and fill the clean water tank. It ran smoothly and did its thing for that time, with absolutely no maintenance needed. Then woke up this morning to the cleaning tray malfunction. I simply puled the tray out, washed it down, made sure the bobber had free movement, put it back and emptied the dirty water tank, and that was it. It was a solid test to see who far you can push these modern vacuums with no maintenance. Now that I know three days is really the hands off limit, I will make sure every couple days to take the tray out, wash it down and verify everything.

When going on vacation

we have a Deebot T50 Max Pro Omni and will be going on vacation for 4 days in a couple of weeks. with minimal issues with the robot, should I just turn it off while we are gone, empty all the bins then turn him back on once home? I am concerned about leaving clean water in the bin while we are gone. 4 days seems to be right in the sweet spot of water growing bacteria. it would be awesome to come home to clean floors afterward, but the robot is not hooked up to a water source and requires daily refill.

Department of Education estimates that one out of 9 students will suffer sexual behavior from an educator in the public school system. How is this statistic even remotely acceptable?

Generation X, we don't care, and stop trying to force us to

Generational competitiveness seems to be at an all time high right now. With millennials and Gen Z trying to prove that their generation is right over all the others. The constant complaining of work, the constant yelling and screaming that one is better than the other seems very high schoolish to Generation X. We don't get involved, nor do we complain. We just do what we need to do to live our lives to the fullest. Our entire lives we were told we could not live up to the Greatest Generation or the Baby Boomers, only for there to be a drastic shift towards millennials without warning. Society as a whole has forgotten that Generation X is between the two.

We don't make noise, we don't complain, and we have been finding things to do on our own since age 8 which started with coming home to empty houses every day, and learning how to keep ourselves busy. This included cooking, figuring out how to repair something without the aide of how to videos, and filling our time with our own thoughts. We didn't have safe spaces, and if we didn't win at something, we didn't get a trophy for trying. We learned to try harder next time instead of complaining. We do not need an echo chamber to verify our feelings, nor do we need to brag about our accomplishments. We learned at a very early age to do what we have to do without complaint regardless of what others think.

While other generations try to claim how good they are, we are the generation that built the very tools that are now required in every day life. From computers, to the internet to cell phones, all of that can be attributed to Generation X. We aren't worried about social change. We don't care about what's going on at work or the government, because quite frankly we are too busy thinking up the next big idea.

Bottom line is, instead of trying to drag us into your generational wars, realize that we honestly have other things to worry about and do not care about which generation is better or worse. That is all high school games that at the end of the day mean nothing to the individual.

Future accessories

Would it be possible for Robot vac manufacturers to add a top spinning brush? this way the brushes can dust the top of the baseboards in your home?

Ecovacs T50 Omni Max Pro review

After a week of use with the Ecovacs T50, I must say I do like it a lot. The customizations in the app are solid, and I have been trying several different settings to test. Currently I have it set to do our living room (carpet) at 9 AM Monday-Saturday with both mop and vacuum, 9:00 AM Sundays a deep clean of the entire downstairs, 2 PM with mop and vacuum in the kitchen (tile) Monday-Saturday, and the back half of the downstairs which includes kitchen, family room, laundry room and bathroom (laminate, and tile) daily and the results have been surprisingly positive. The reason for the multiple times a day is mainly due to our kids both being Autistic and having a set schedule helps them know when things have to be off the floor. Our kitchen floor is spotless, and the family room floor is also spotless. The downside to the carpet is simply that the carpet is old and stained (kids, that's all I'm saying, and I am doing spot cleans on the carpet with a Shark Shampoo Vacuum system, which works great).

The main thing I have to say is when you first bring one of these bad boys home, make sure when you take it out to check under the main brush and make sure the plastic guide is snapped in place. If it isn't, you will hear it pretty loud. Once you have that in place, it is actually pretty quite in vacuum mode on standard suction. Obviously if you use the Deep Clean suction, it will be pulling almost double the amount of air in through the vacuum and it will be significantly louder. I love the auto bag emptying and pad cleaning which depending on the job might be done multiple times in one run.

Minor hiccups we have had is when the main brush picked up a twisty tie somewhere and the twisty tie dislodged the plastic guide. Overall, it is hands free for your current job, however, I would recommend emptying the dirty water, and adding clean water in the station. I do find best practice is to check the underside of the robot after doing a vacuum run to make sure nothing is stuck under either the side or main brushes. That will just save issues from later. With a mop only run obviously this is not as important. I would give this vacuum 4 out of 5 stars since the Lidar did not pick up the twisty tie.

What's more important to you, a free app without privacy, or a paid app with privacy?

It seems today people are no longer willing to pay for apps and are willing to sacrifice privacy as long as the app is free. What is your expectation? Google opened the floodgates with free search's. I always told people that the search's aren't free, and if they were, Google would not need multiple data centers worldwide.

Deep clean downstairs

I bought a t50 Omni Max Pro two weeks ago and after a week of testing it out, I finally decided to have it do full deep clean with 2 times over, max air suction and max water on hard floors. Total time was 4 hours, with 1 hour 30 minute run time before recharging for 2 hours and finishing up the last half hour. This is on a 1100 sq ft first floor open floor plan. The floors are spotless!! even though the amount of time it took was long, if you leave on default settings, the entire downstairs can be done in an hour in a hal.
