Banned Words in Bubble

I just had the craziest word show up as banned, and I need to vent. For those who don't know Bubble has banned words (wish there was a list somewhere), and you can't use any word that has a banned word inside of it. The word I was trying to say tonight? Japanese. The first three letters are a slur when said alone, but all together in Japan or Japanese it isn't. I don't see why those words can't be said. Lots of Kpop acts work in Japan! My faves are TVXQ. They opened up the Japanese music industry along with BoA. Not being able to use those words with them is crazy.

Who decided to ban words within words? Because I just think that is the dumbest thing. Maybe there are people use words word within words to say something bad, but I would never in a million years think to do that. Ugh. This is just so annoying.

Other banned words:

Album (bum)

Something (meth)

Bluegrass (ass)

Most subscriptions are to idols. You know, singers who release albums. What do you mean we can't say the "album" to them? So crazy.

What other crazy banned words have others seen? I want to make a list.

Edit: I forgot to say that Yunho said to be careful about not catching the flu, and I responded that I was getting my flu shot tomorrow. Guess what WASN'T a banned word? Shot. A word you would THINK should be banned but isn't. So crazy.

Being Xenophobic Over a Serious Issue

There is a serious issue making headlines in South Korea about a police officer in the Jeju Island missing person's unit closing over 200 cases (mostly tourist) without properly investigating and some of those people have turned up dead. An ARMY quoted a Korean tweet about this saying just the most completely wrong things about the country. The following screenshots are quotes from Koreans.

Firstly, anyone who visits a place they don't live for pleasure is a tourist, which means that Koreans who don't live in Jeju Island can be tourist. Secondly, the only deaths I've read about are Korean tourists. This ARMY is acting like only foreigners can be tourist in South Korea. That's so dumb. Thirdly, there have been South Korean crimes that have had major headlines such as Jung Joonyoung's golden phone, everything with Seungri, and Burning Sun-gate. (I only listed three things I think people here will know.) The South Korean feminist 4B movement where women are refusing to date, marry, and have children with misogynistic men has also made international headlines.

I'm glad Koreans are dragging this ARMY. It is very deserved.

Did Anyone Predict Their Hate Would Include More Than Just Anyone Who Submitted to The Category?

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the bullies mentioned in this article are ARMY. I never expected them to start hate campaigns against the people at the Recording Academy they think got Best Asian Pop Music Performance created. I thought it would only be those who submit to the category, but I am not surprised to learn of this behavior from them.

Edit: l realized I had clicked on the wrong flair. I means to say "cultmy" from the start.

Way To Loose All My Respect

This article was shared with me by my Recording Academy voting member father. He knows Ricky Kej. The first screenshot is what my father saw on Facebook. The second one is the article on the Rolling Stone India website. The last image is from the co-founder of the Asian Music Collective and one of the people behind Best Asian Pop Music.

Ricky is wrong on many levels. I can't believe he is saying the sole reason for the category is Kpop and the massive fanbases behind Kpop acts. But this is an article in Rolling Stone magazine. We know Rolling Stone is in HYBE's pocket. However, I know enough about Ricky to say that this so out of left field for him.

BTS has lost every Grammy nomination because they are a boy band, and boy bands are generally hated. Nothing more, nothing less. He should be trying to make their losses into anything more.

I couldn't read past that last screenshot from the article due to how it twists the "including but not limited to, K-pop, J-pop, and C-pop" in the category description into something it isn't. In no way does that mean the category only those three types of Asian pop music or that they are listed because they are more "Westernized" forms of Asian pop. I believe they are listed simply because they are the most well-known types of Asian pop in the West and have been gaining in popularity over the last 20 or so years.

This just reads as HYBE propaganda. Ricky is an extremely smart man, so why is he writing it? I don't understand. Could HYBE have gotten to him? I want to say no, but nothing else would make sense to me.

More Stupid Grammy Discourse, This Time From The New York Times

What is this stupidity? (The italic text in the second screenshot are quotes from the article.) How is this New York Times writer saying pop isn't a music genre and all pop categories should represent what is popular, and how is anyone agreeing with that craziness?

I am so, so tired of the Grammy discourse over BTS's "boycott." First of all, most people don't know anything about the Grammys and are wrong in what they are saying, and second of all, there are Black artists (including Americans) who have publicly boycotted for *years* over racism and tried to start a discourse on the topic, but thwy barely got any press in comparison to a Kpop boy band who makes shit music and would never win a Grammy as a boy band (though maybe in an Asian category if they had good music).

There are million and one Kpop and general Korean music award, shows and more and more are starting every year. BTS should focus on those award shows where they would actually be appreciated. Western validation isn't the end all be all they think it is. It's not like they are part of the Indie Collaborative of the Recording Academy and a Grammy win would drastically boost their careers. They are the world's most popular Kpop boy band.

Just how many more months of "BTS boycott the Grammys" will there be? I want it over now.

Has Anyone Else Seen This Weverse Ad?

An idol from a group I follow commented on a fan's post, so I clicked on the notification immediately after seeing it. This is what I saw while Weverse was loading. The top part loaded first, and then the bottom part. This is so crazy. I didn't even seen an ad like this after Arirang was released and ads were being blasted everywhere. Why now? Is the tour doing that poorly?

My faves have been on Weverse since 2022, and I have never seen a loading ad. Has anyone else?

I Want To Learn More About Hanahaki Disease

Edit: People seem confused with what I want to write. I want to write a trope standard fic with a twist, but I'm new to Hanahakiand want to learn more about it from writers and readers.

After talking with someone on another post asking about Hanahaki Disease, I got a plot bunny. I'm new to this trope (just started reading it recently) and don't know much about it. I've done some research, but I wanted learn more about it from writers and readers too. All general information is much appreciated. I know Hanahaki is as open ended on world building as omegaverse, so I want to twist it a little bit.

I specifically need to know what the standard is for the surgery. I've read it is a type of love amnesia, but I'm not too sure about the specifics of the amnesia. Does it make all love go away, or just all romantic love, or is it just romantic love for the person they have unrequited love for? Thanks.

RPF Etiquette PSA

Since an ATINY asked Wooyoung about fanfic during a fancall, I wanted to remind everyone of the first unwritten RPF etiquette rule: RPF is for fans only, so never share, recommend, or talk about it with any public figure or celebrity that has been written about. If the public figure/celebrity brings it up on their own the way EXO Chanyeol does, that is fine.

Personally, I'd be so embarrassed if TVXQ knew my fic. It's not that I'm ashamed of my fics or anything like that. I'm actually quite proud. It's just that they aren't meant to read by the people I'm writing about.

What is something negative that could happen during 2nd trimester of pregnancy?

Edit: Someone suggested an nfection, and that works perfectly. Thanks to everyone who commented. I've been struggling with this for awhile now, and I'm glad to finally have this solved.

MC becomes hospitalized during the 2nd trimester (somewhere between 14-20 weeks) in part because of stress and overworking. What is something concrete the doctor could say is wrong? I want MC and Spouse to be able to have an action plan for going forward.

I have done research on high blood pressure and stress in pregnancy.

Background: MC has parents that never supported their career choice of chef, which caused MC to work extra hard throughout their career. MC is working on opening a third restaurant when there is a surprise pregnancy. MC is married, but they don't have kids yet (due to the timing never being right), which has caused friction with MC's parents. The new restaurant makes Mother nag about it taking focus away from what is most important – starting a family. Father says what he always does – MC should have chosen a different job because "you can't be an involved parent when you're never home and always working." So now that MC is pregnant, MC is stressed due to the timing being wrong and what parents have said and overworks to prove themselves to parents. This causes MC to be hospitalized.

What age would a chef be when they reach certain positions?

My MC is a chef-owner of two restaurants and is working on opening a third at the start of the story. What age would be appropriate for this? I also need to know when they meet their spouse. So, what age would a chef be when they became a well-known and popular Head Chef?

Relivant back story: MC started working in restaurants right out of high school and eventually went to culinary school, but MC's parents never supported their career choice. That made MC work extra hard to gain their approval. MC met Spouse at a black-tie ovarian cancer gala where well-known top chefs were doing appetizers during cocktail hour and little plates for the meal.

I have done research on this. I have found that there is a lot of variations in the culinary field on when people reach certain positions depending on type of restaurant (fine dining, formal, casual) and management. One Reddit post I found had commentors sayings that lots of young cooks who didn't have the necessary leadership and culinary skills got promoted where they worked.

I've followed Koreaboo for a long time on Facebook, even though I overall don't like them that much. I realized the other day that I hadn't seen any of their posts in some time even though I had them set to Favorite to see their posts more. I can't find them when I search for them on Facebook, and the Facebook profile link I get when I google shows nothing. Did something happen to Koreaboo's Facebook page? I'm just curious now to know what happened.
