Traveling internationally with dress

Hi! So I need advise because everywhere I read is to take my dress with me on the plane, but my seamstress told me to check it in. I really am scared of losing this thing because I will freak if the air line loses it for some odd reason. Anyways, we are flying business class with one layover on AirFrance. I am wondering if I should just enforce me doing the garment bag (the 60" Deluxe Travel Wally Bag) and not check it in. In addition my dress is the Justin Alexander Joelle. Thank you in Advance!

I got my wedding dress!

I’m debating on changing the straps and doing some sleeves instead, I’m not a huge fan of my arms but I loved this basque styled dress.

Eloping last minute

So we decided to elope in secret and run off to a different country. We are going to hire a photographer and videographer for our wedding and take photos in our hotel, do our ceremony in the park and then wander around the park/city for photos. I am trying to find a dress and CANNOT for the life of me find something simple enough for this day. I know what I want but no one has it but they all have something similar.

Does anyone else experience this who eloped? Or am I making to big a deal? I feel like it’s hitting this elaborate thing when all I want is this simple thing
