2018 Volt with cooler leak and engine not available error for time to time

I just replaced my EGR valve with a used one. It wasn’t blowing any fuses so now I think that wasn’t the issue.

I’m still getting problems with the engine where it will say propulsion power are not available or engine not available rather and at this point, I don’t know what the cause is.

When I hear the engine, I sometimes think it’s having a misfire and it’s shaking a little more violently although it’s not giving me a check engine light flashing but when it has this problem, I pull over and reset and delete all the codes. I don’t know if this is helping but I’ll randomly be able to drive 1000 km without issues or sometimes it’s only 50 km but it seems to be fairly random now.

The coolant for the battery is the one with the leak and I wonder if this is something to do with the issue. I keep the level topped up all the time, but it still happens.

Please tell me your thoughts.

Here are the errors I have:

P0401

EGR A Flow
Insufficient Detected

P0AC4

Hubrid/EV Powertrain
Control Module
ReCUeSTed MIL
Illumination

P0402

Catalyst 315Tem
Erficiency BeloW

Looking for Longterm employee

Hello there,

I have a construction company and I’m looking for one worker who will work hard next to me for a long period of time.

I’m tired of people to come in and work just long enough to get money for dope. I need someone who wants to work and turn this into a career.

Many of our days are long and involved driving longer distances to jobs all around southeastern Ontario. You will be paid for your hard work and for the commute time over an hour which I think is fair.

We build Steel Buildings, such as new buildings for things such as Walmarts, dollar stores, etc., etc., of all different sizes.

I’m looking for someone that’s willing to learn and short reliably. Every day is the probably the biggest point in my search. A reliable person is more valuable being reliable than having a higher skill level, but both would be nice.

Do you guys know anyone?

We’re looking all for general construction knowledge. We also do residential construction, probably 60/40 split between Steel buildings and residential construction.

425,000 km car runs great but now says engine not available decreased propulsion and no AC charge

I was hoping someone could help me with this… It’s amazing. This car got all this mileage on it and the only thing I’ve ever had to do to. It is change the brakes all around three times and change the tires.

The car sat for six months without driving it and when I started driving it again, the AC was not cold, there’s a coolant leak which I’ve topped up and reset all the codes because it said that the engine was unavailable then I drove it about 1000 km. It was fine the next day it was considerably warmer and I drove it 20 km and it said engine not available reduce propulsion and was driving on the battery only. I pulled over reset all the codes couldn’t really see which code was causing it. I thought it was low refrigerant code. And I spent the whole day and reset the codes every 5 to 10 km while I slowly depleted the 30 km of range on the battery I had.

The radiator fluid was fine then I parked the car for two hours and charged it up so I could make it home and after it cooled down to 23° at night the car ran fine without having a problem again. What do you guys think this is?

2012 RAM Cam Job

I bought a high mileage 2012 Dodge ram with 385,000 km on it. It seemed to be running well after about 30,000 I expected I was gonna end up having to do a cam job. Almost like clockwork I started having major misfires underload and now I’m planning to do a cam and roller lifter job.

If I change the oil frequently after doing this job has anyone had much success with this? All of my cars are up to 450,000 km because of how frequently I change the oil and I’m looking and hoping this would be the same with this car.

I could do an engine swap, but if I do this job once then I’ll have the confidence to do it in the future by buying high mileage, rams, and doing this swap and maybe reselling it. Does anyone have experience with the roller lifter job and how much did they get in terms of mileage afterwards in terms of how many kilometers did they get on the engine?
