Do I actually like coffee?!

I love going to coffee shops - where I enjoy iced drinks and caramel lattes! I recently purchased the Ninja, but didn’t get on with it and had to return it (well known calibration / dripping issue!). I have now taken delivery of a KF7. Just made my first drink and I’m not overwhelmed. Will I ever be able to make coffee as good (or even close) as a coffee shop? 🧐 I wanted a coffee machine at home so I stop spending so much at Starbucks etc! Feeling unhopeful 😔

Currently trying to make an iced white mocha. I have coffee beans from beanz subscription (can’t remember what they’re called!) and the white choc sauce is Torani.

KF4 or KF7? Ice & Latte!

I’ve drilled down to KF4 or KF7 based mostly off this Reddit, so thank you! Which would you pick? My pref at mo is an iced latte, but come colder days it will be a hot latte. I don’t tend to dabble in much else! I’ve found both for within £100 of each other so price isn’t an issue. Thank you!

Hi,

I’ve lost a lot of weight and have been left with a sagging / crinkly neck. I’ve had Botox, Profhilo and am in the midst of polynucleotides!

Skincare … tried / trying all the neck creams! I also use azeliac acid 20% and medik8 b5 intense on my face and thereon neck. Cleanser, Moisturiser and SPF too. I’ll admit this is only recently - I totally neglected my neck beforehand sadly!

What would you add in? I’ve seen about p tiox, vit c, peptides?! Will any help 😩

Thank you!

Confused Post Dr / Trichologist!

Recently been diagnosed with telogen effluvium (over 12m) by a doctor and trichologist (separately). Doctor recommended minoxidil. Trichologist told me to stay clear? I couldn’t work out if it was just because of the initial shed or for another reason. I also see a dermatologist for skin / PCOS and mentioned minoxidil and she was like “great” (but didn’t ask if any tests etc had been done).

Feeling confused! I’d booked the Trichologist before I seen the doctor … otherwise would have done one or another!

Anyone had similar? What would you do? Is minoxidil ok with chronic telogen effluvium?

Bonuses! Driving myself INSANE!

Hi,

I’ve been a follower of FIRE for some years. Currently, over the year, my husband and I earn around 24K in bonuses. Paid over 2 periods in a year.

I have a ‘budget’ which includes all the usual, however we rely on the bonus for either topping up investments or paying for our holidays.

I spend time thinking / changing our budget around based on the bonus being used for investments vs holiday.

What thjs means is; if using bonus for holidays, we don’t save any money towards holidays on a monthly basis. This means we put that money towards investing. On the flip, we save monthly for holidays, meaning we invest a lot less monthly.

This is not a big problem - I am well aware of that! I’ve had therapy for being an all or nothing type person, and Finances fell into this … albeit not sure the therapy helped with any Finance stuff tbh!

So here I am, asking Reddit, what would you do? I drive myself nuts either way. If relying on bonuses to pay for holidays then I overthink it incase the bonus doesn’t come in. If relying on bonuses for strengthening our investments - I also over think, as monthly we don’t invest much and sometimes by bonus time other random stuff is needed and not all goes towards investments.

We could lower the amount we spend on holidays and cover both monthly? But honestly, we are quite happy with the amount we spend on holidays.

Thank you.

Why does this consume my mind? What to use 21K Annual Bonus for!!!

Spending Loads More!

Hi,

Been a FIRE follower for around 6y. We started extreme, as do most! But I fear we have flipped to the other extreme. Investing is harder, despite earning much more.

I know that suggests lifestyle creep, but I’ve reviewed everything we spent this month and there wasn’t much that I thought ‘wouldn’t spend that on that again’.

The problem is guilt. I feel guilt! I feel like we should be putting away more than we are, but at the same time I feel like I want to enjoy our money. 🫣

I’m not sure if our pot contributes, it’s around 550K so it compounds quite well these days as it is!

For context, we were investing around 50% and it’s now half of that. There’s a lot of ‘excessive’ in there - nice holidays, beauty treatments, etc! But I think I love it all…. !

Also not sure when I want to retire (I think we’ll meet my husband’s goal, he’s older so can retire and I could keep working etc). I wonder if the lack of goal doesn’t help, nothing to work to?

Anyway, brain dump! Anyone else feel the same? Any thoughts on what I’ve said? Thank you.
