What would be the equivalent?

I’ve been getting tirzepatide from a compounding pharmacy for 2+ years. I’ve been “micro” dosing it for maintenance for months now. It’s 20/10mg tirz and B6.

It’s gotten very expensive. My husband has seen success with Reta. But I don’t know how to transition from one to the other. What would be the equivalent dose?

Thanks for any input.

Lung Nodule - opting for no surgery

Dad is Stage 6 Alz. They found a slow growing nodule in his lower left lung. Thoracic surgeon wants to remove it and then do pathology. It’s a 3-4 hour surgery and I’m almost positive the surgery and general anesthesia will be devastating for
Dad. Currently dad can chat, get up the stairs and sit with us and watch tv. He’s totally confused and needs help with everything else. But he’s still dad. I don’t think he’ll come back from the surgery the same.

I’m strongly considering let dad live in peace. I can explore immunotherapy. Maybe we can do a non-invasive biopsy. But to go in and remove it and it ends up being scar tissue or something would really be unfortunate.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Baseline Appt with Neuro for under 50?

Hi there. Has anyone here under 50, found a neuro that is willing to establish baselines for your cognitive health. I am 45 years old and have 2 variants of the APOE4 gene (dad and maternal grandmother) as per genetic testing. I want to get ahead of as much as I can, but it seems like 50 is the age neuros will start seeing patients for cognitive disease. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Cancer diagnosis for Dad (Alz for the past 7 years)

My dad was just diagnosed with lung cancer. He is 77 and diagnosed with ALZ 7 years ago. He is still lucid on most days, but has NO short term memory whatsoever. Probably the worst symptom thus far. That and incontinence.

Has anyone had to deal with cancer in their LOs? It feels like im standing at the foot of a huge mountain and I'm worried about what's to come and the decisions I fear I will have to make as POI and Healthcare Proxy.

Does this look as bad as I think it is?

The following are findings from my dad’s most recent lung CT. He had a pet scan a month ago and it also lit up there but the doctor said it was still inconclusive so we did this CT:

2.4 x 1.3 cm irregular lobulated nodules within right lower lobe is increased and suspicious for slow growing lung cancer.

This is the growth pattern:

7/10/2026: 2.4 x 1.3 cm
6/5/2026: 1.8 x 1.2 cm
2/7/2022: 1.1 x 1 cm
