Y`all ever had this situation where you are about to achieve a huge milestone in a modpack but you are missing some passive resources so all you can do is wait?
I am facing this in Monifactory. I am about to gain access to creative energy.
In this pack, you get this by launching a mission in the Microverse, inputting some items to get a Creative Energy Data item. I already have EVERYTHING to launch it... except for the microminer that gets sent to the mission itself.
To craft this, I, once again, have everything I need... except for Eltz ingots, which I have already set up passively. Unfortunately this is pretty slow since some steps require shitloads of energy to still take 89 quintillion years, so I am in this odd phase where I am waiting for my (Moni)factory to make enough of this weird orange element, but I have many planned upgrades that I can`t do because they use too much power (16 AMPS UEV and such), requiring creative energy that I am waiting for.
But, the moment I finally get it, many areas of my factory will be bound to receive some of the most ludicrously powerful upgrades I will ever do, it`s gonna be soooo epic.
The power of spam
So I am playing Monifactory and I need a lot of energy for passive processes, but now that I am in the endgame, I need to set up processes that use super massive amounts of energy, which calls for equally massive energy generation.
I had this dilemma a while ago, and at the time, I wanted to abandon Nuclearcraft for my power gen, so I decided to go extremely hard on late-endgame power generation.
This decision led to me spending hours figuring out the best possible arrangement to fit as many generators as I could given that I wanted to use 1 square per type of generator (14x14) and that I had ~20 blocks of height avaliable (my base is a floating platform at y=300).
I ended up building:
-90 Large Plasma Turbines running on Nickel Plasma
-108 Extreme Combustion Generators running on JEAN (I am producing a lot of this so I thought why not)
-90 Naquadah Reactors running on Naquadria Bolts (1 naquadria ingot makes 8 bolts each producing 3A of ZPM for about 3 minutes which is both hilarious and overpowered as hell, no wonder they nerfed it in a later update).
-Not much later I also added 2 Large Naquadah Reactors which generate a lot of power but instead of using puny bolts they use actual proper fuel rods made from a rather complex and expensive processing line.
All of these types of generators would use different types of wire, which I tried to connect straight to my energy buffer, but I gave up and instead wired them all up to an active transformer. Now instead of 5 trillion wires spaghetting into my buffer, they would spaghetti into the transformer, being condensed into 1 singular wire.
With this newly built power, I managed to increase my powergen by a lot, allowing me to add more passive machines or upgrade existing ones to go faster. But that was only temporary, as I was once again needing more power.
Luckily, the pack also has solar panels. I did not use them as I would need to make many hundreds of hadal panels or make neutronium panels which was very difficult to get. On top of that, they were very slow to make. But I eventually fixed those issues, and was capable of crafting neutronium panels in pretty big batches, generating 2.5 million RF/t per panel.
Normal people would simply place these in the world, but I found out that "The Void" dimension (that you can access from the very start of the pack) has permanent daytime, allowing me to enjoy the beauty of solar panels with 100% uptime. All I need was to move the power across dimensions, a simple task for an AE2 network... as long as it recieves enough power, but in that dimension it`s effectively free. Thus, I now am the proud owner of 131 Neutronium Solar Panels.
Then I started making Infinity ingots and got enough to start making Infinity Solar Panels, generating 100 million RF/t each (and I have 4)
Then I needed stabilized curium for some passive microverse process so I had to setup some NC reactors. I still send the power they make to my energy buffer, but it`s merely a byproduct of fission breeding.
That´s a lot of numbers, but fear not, I already crunched the numbers for y`all. All of that (solar panels, fission reactors and the gt generator spam) totals to almost 4 UXV AMPS, which is a lot, so much that my energy buffer, the power substation, needed some upgrades, so I did just that. Especially output, as I can take up to 512 UEV AMPS from this tower of power. I did that one specifically to upgrade all my autocrafting machines so they would run at UXV power with up to 1024 parallels, autocrafting at the speed of light.
Man that was a lot of yapping, and all for something that is soon to be obsolete with the closer than ever arrival of creative power
The first thing that came to my mind when seeing the initials for Cetane Boosted Diesel
"Wanna see me process this draconium? Wanna see me do it again?"
Have you ever wanted to see how fast can a QED get? Have you ever wondered how big would a QED setup be at maximum* speed? No?
Well, me neither, but, seeing that I will need absurd amounts of draconium to get all the creative items, I needed an epic draconium ore dust processing setup. I went with the dust from a mod called "Another One Bites The Dust" (lol name) which only has one recepie that gets more than one ingot per dust, and it has to be performed in the QED.
Therefore, I clearly needed an ultra beefed up setup to process draconium at approximately the speed of sound. So, I made a butt load of Ender-Flux Crystals until I arrived at this diamond shaped monstrosity. So massive I built it at build height limit for lag reduction (I could genuinely feel the framerate drop the more I added).
A bit excessive, but, the reward is what I lovingly call the Draconium Purgatory, turning a stack of coal and ~7 seconds of your life into 3 stacks of draconium, and all professionally handcrafted for peak draconic performance. Yes, 7 seconds. It´s so fast, it no longer makes any sound when running.
And no, this cannot be automated, as the QED does´t allow item input while (a bit ironically) allowing item output
