Starting to get confused with what the ranking even means for Law Schools.

I am well aware that Region is more important than ranking when it comes to choosing law schools below T16 (I maybe wrong though).

However, is it true that Region and job placement profile is significantly more important than ranking? If so, what is the point of comparing national rankings to decide which law schools to apply to? I know this question can sound a bit stupid but I am getting confused with this for some reason.

Is there still $650 S26 Ultra deal going on?

I am not talking about pre order (double storage deal). But I was wondering Google Fi still offers $650 for 256GB S26 Ultra for existing customers. Is it supposed YMMV?

Anyone tried claiming $20 Walmart Cash?

https://preview.redd.it/xkig8roun52h1.png?width=688&format=png&auto=webp&s=a1666a48dfff724aaf5571b3b84fbba3d87d23ff

I was trying to get the promo in the picture. While I was activating the walmart+ membership, i took me to the screen that told me I will be getting $20 walmart cash upon activation. However, the walmart cash didn't hit my account. Anyone having similar issues? Would it show up if I wait a bit longer?

Am I correctly understanding how LSAT writing will be used in admissions?

I am seeing multiple comments regarding how admission council use LSAT writing. Some say they don't even read the writing while others say that is a naive thought to have. However, the middle ground comments made more sense: writing section acts as a "captcha" varifying the applicant's minimal qualification in writing and is used as a tie breaker if necessary.

This sounded like how TOEFL (English Proficiency Test) is considered during college admissions. Admission councils do not care about applicant's TOEFL score as long as it is over 70-100 out of 120. Having high TOEFL score rarely gives the applicant an edge. However, low TOEFL scores would raise concerns in regards to applicant's ability to attend classes taught in English.

Am I understanding this correctly?

I read from somewhere that going through a vocab list for LSAT is waste of time unless you are an ESL (English as a Second Language)

Well, I am an ESL. While going through practice problems, I would run into situation where I would not understand words/terms in critical part of the passage or problems. In this case, should I spend some time to go through LSAT vocab list? Any recommended list out there?

Thanks!

I recently received a notice to appear for an oath ceremony and have a question about N-445 form. It asks

  1. Since your interview, have you been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, convicted, fined, or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance, including traffic violations?

Unfortunately, a week after I passed my citizenship interview, I was mirandized, handcuffed, and placed in a patrol vehicle after being told I will be going to jail by a police officer. However, what I told to the officers turned out to be true and I was released from the vehicle. I do not see any arrest or charge record on the police report. I did not go through any citations to sign, jail time, fingerprinting, facing a judge, taking a mugshot, ect... The staff at police station told me I was not arrested as well,

My question is, would my situation (mirandized, hand cuffed, and placed in a patrol vehicle) count as an arrest defined by USCIS for question 4 in form N-445?

I am getting mixed responses from immigration attorneys. Some told me to say "yes" just for the sake of being conservative but some told me to say "no" because it was just a detention and not an arrest. Honestly, I have no intention to hide any crime from USCIS. However, I really don't think my situation fits the description of the question; and hence I do not want to potentially confuse an immigration officer and have my case delayed for "no reason". Also, I am currently in a situation where I cannot "afford" to have the ceremony delayed any furthur.

I appreciate your time answering my question.
