Firstly, for most of the complaints people have with the story, I'm fine with it. Like, the overall plot is pretty interesting all things considered and every chapter introduced something new that actually made me go "WOAH" (except for the obol squad chapter. That was just bad)

But now onto the shit I'm actually mad about. THE WAIFUS. I FUCKING HATE YIDHARI AND YE SHUNGUANG. In the YIDHARI chapter, they at first set up manato and Lucias stories. Since Manato had a design I really really really liked, I was excited. Now just imagine, halfway through the chapter some octopus pole dancer takes over the story. You'd be mad too. If they had concluded the other stories nicely or wrote YIDHARI to be actually GOOD, I wouldn't have a problem. BUT NOPE. MANATOS ARC was RUSHED. LUCIAS WAS A FOOTNOTE. AND YIDHARI HAS THE MOST FORCED CHEMISTRY WUTH WISE. ARE YOU FUCKING WUTH ME? "oH I dIdNt nOtiCe yOu tHere BeCauSe I oNlY can see WiSe" LIKE SHE STARTED SIMPING FOR WISE WITH NO BUILDUP. HER ABILITY IS WRITTEN SO THAT SHE FALLS IN LOVE WITH WISEEEE At least with Vivian she actually became friends with wise before staring to simp for him, and her ability doesn't force her to fall for wise. I have the same simp problem with Ye Shunguang. EVERYTHING IS WISE WISE WISE WISE WISE. TEHY HAVE NO CHEMISTRY YALL. Wise literally became someone else! Its like the Devs forgot his actual personality and only remember wise is a dependable and kinda person. (Imagine needing Ye Shunguang to explain wises personality traits to convince us that they have chemistry. Wise has more natural chemistry with the Tin master fucking hell) Ye Shunguang is also the most tropey naive girl who finds and gains her own agency....accept she does nothing to gain that agency, relies entirely on her mommy persona to do so and reveal at the end that she took the QingMing sword willingly, WHICH JUST MAKES THE WHOLE POINT OF YE SHIYUAN EXISTSING USELESS EXCEPT FOR EXPOSITION AND PLOT DEVICE!

AND THEN THE MALES. OH THE HORROR. A MALE CENTERED STORY? IN THIS ECONOMY??? I already said that MANATOS story got rushed, but the rest of the males barely had a presence in the story! I forgot Pan Yinhu EXISTED FOR GODS SAKE. Banyue is THE only male who got a chance to shine properly. Give us a focus on Ye shiyuan and the moral dilemma he faces? Nah. Explain his entire character to us by the Ye Shunguang exposition dump™? HECK YEAH STONKS ARE HIGH WOOHOOOOOO!!!

NOT JUST THE MALES EITHER. THANKS TO YE SHUNGUANG™, DIALYN AND ZHAOS STORY GOT RUSHED. I DIDNT EVEN GET TO SEE THEM WARM UP TO THE GANG BEFORE THEY HAD THEIR HEEL TURN. their story is great. Krampus was great, and could've been one of the best written units....IF THEY WERENT RUSHED AUGHHHHHHH

All things aside at least I still got my Manato aurafarming moment, and I did enjoy season 2. (To an extent)

I think they did a decent job of portraying the world VBS wants to stand on top of. IDK but a lot of the reception for VBS changing goals was poor, but I thought it was great. My only problem was that we didn't have clarity on what they actually meant. I mean, surely they're not going to try and make VBS the best in the entire world.
RUSH BEATS seem awesome, the NPCs for this America phase are cool too, way better than Vivid Streets anyways. (I like kotaro but I don't feel like the rest of them really deserved to surpass RAD WEEKEND along with VBS)
The only reason why I wouldn't say this is a great story is because of the horrible pacing, and they did not need to describe everything about the world and Kohanes development to us, (show not tell thing). I thought the cards did it well enough. Although judging how amazing the reading comprehension of the pjsk fandom is, maybe that's a good thing that they had an entire essay for the moral of the story.
The next one seems like a slog tho, how tf are they making an entire story of VBS saying goodbyes and going home to Japan (only to go back to America one week later 😂)

Yuki (second panel) is from the light novel series known as playing Death games to put food on the table. At the start of her journey she's basically kanade without a saviour complex. Her apartment is full of trash and she eats unhealthily. She also had long hair and two blue eyes.
And in the death games participants are put in various outfits such as a musketeer and a maid costume.
Before I start: I am on the neurodivergent spectrum. However I'm not autistic. I have ADHD/ADD and most likely, OCD as well.
Rui is certainly a character I relate to. He's up there in terms of characters I like in pjsk. I've seen many people say he's autistic and he's just as implied as mizuki but holy fuck is that wrong. But I'm not here to rant about the differences in writing. I'm here to talk about purely the "autism" part. Rui shares many symptoms with autism yes. Many autistic people do relate to him. (Yippee) But I wholly dont agree with people who simply regard to him as autistic.
Autism shares symptoms with its family. Many people thought I was autistic because of it. As previously mentioned, I am not (at least not diagnosed but in the end ADD/ADHD still shares symptoms)
I think this is simply an issue with society as a whole. Autism is the most well known disorder to date. And I think it's great. Autism is also some of the more discriminated against disorders after all. However many, many people simply are unaware of other disorders. And so we other neurodivergent people are lumped into one group and every single implication becomes autistic.
I mean this as no offense to autistic people. If you think Rui is autistic, good for you, but at least recognise that autism isn't the only disorder that exists.
Edit: Yo so I'm wrong, and Rui is autistic coded. My point still stands tho, don't fucking generalise neurodivergency into autism thru overlapping symptoms and shit
