Hit and run happy ending

Always stop for your fellow rider. I was splitting on the 105, dude on a bagger catches me, so I let him pass. Inside of a couple miles, a car tries to enter the carpool lane (legally, except the hitting the motorcycle part) and slams him. Knocks off his crash bar and squished a saddlebag. I start memorizing the license plate, reading it over and over to lock it in (ADHD). The dude tries to get the car to pull over, but he blows him off and leaves.

I follow the bike to the right shoulder and give him the license plate and my number. I now realize how bad a witness I’d be, as I have only a vague idea of the color and model of the car. But it was enough (see photos)
