Is Amy with nodules in her vocal cords?
I've read a few unconnected comments on YouTube about her strained voice in some songs being caused by some kind of vocal cords nodules.
Then I went back and watched a few live concerts from TBT tour and after she got sick her voice was rarely the same again. From time to time you can hear some struggle in belted notes. Something like a hoarse voice.
Sure Amy has always struggled to keep up with tours and by the end of fallen, TOD and EV3 tours her voice was tired, but never sounded like that... The hoarse situation is not typical.
I hope that this isn't any nodule on her vocal cords, but that reminds me of some vocal coach react videos about EV3 era where they talk about how risky some of Amy techniques were at the time.
FIFA'S VAR is garbage. This is how it could be fixed.
FIFA’s VAR is currently garbage. The mistake (or dishonesty) against Brazil was bizarre and highlighted that the current VAR system is flawed and in some cases can be even worse than having nothing at all. This isn't the first time that a team is harmed like this.
Of course overall VAR still gets it right much more than it gets it wrong, but it is far from perfect, and it remains highly susceptible to dishonest or incompetent referees. There's a lot of room for improvement and we should not stop here.
Because of this I think the ideal VAR world would be:
- The referee on the pitch decides nothing regarding VAR.
- VAR reviews would be conducted by 5 (or 7) referees who are isolated and have no knowledge of who the other 4 are.
- The referees must be from random and different countries (not from the teams playing).
- These referees don’t even need to be there in person. They can participate in the match remotely from their own locations assisted by FIFA.
- The list of referees is not published before the match so they do not know who the others will be.
- The referees vote Yes or No for an infraction. The system computes the votes and the majority decision wins.
- The referee on the pitch doesn’t need to waste time running to look at a small screen. The pressure exerted on him by players and fans becomes irrelevant to the decision since those who actually decide don’t even appear (except for names and votes on the TV screen).
- After a decision and while they are idle, the 5 referees are required to provide a written justification for their voting decision on the previous infractions. The justifications must be published at the end of the match. The idea is to make the criteria used by each one very clear, making life harder for dishonest or incompetent referees.
- Referees with a high number of discrepant votes over many matches lose points and drop in the FIFA ranking, losing future opportunities. Consistent referees are rewarded. Simple as that. The chance of error or dishonesty decreases drastically.
Hideo Kojima's new post on Instagram
He really loves Evanescence. I love his post because it definitely reaches outside the bubble.
Share your unpopular opinion about Evanescence
Respect each other. The idea here is to share a thought/opinion about the band that you know most people would disagree.
It can be about anything. A song, album, live show, and so on...
It doesn't go again. It doesn't fade away
The euphoria from listening to this album doesn't go away. Every time I play it I feel the same joy, emotion and excitement. It doesn't fade.
I remember that when The bitter truth and EV3 these feelings of mine didn't last so many album play loops.
This album is a masterpiece. It makes me want to move and join the energy within it.
I cannot wait to see them live!
Which song do you think will be the first in the setlist for the upcoming tour?
I really want Sanctuary to be the first song. That intro is so spooky and frightening! So good
Sentiram muita diferença no espaço, sinalizações, novidades, e etc? Que dica podem me dar?
