I just bought this amp 3 hours ago. It was working when the dude showed it to me and now I get home after a long drive to test it and it’s just not making any noise. I’ve been trying to figure it out. The tubes in the amp turn orange, the power light is red standby is switched to on. The Cab only has two jacks. Mono is top but it’s loose, I don’t know if it’s always been loose or if it got loose in transport. I turn it on and turn the master up and it makes a screeching noise kind of like real high pitched feedback but it’s quiet as if it’s just the head. I put a 9v on the speaker cable to see if it would pop and nothing. What do I do? Is it fucked and did I just waste $500?

I don’t want to keep turning the head on because I don’t know if it’s connected to the cab and I don’t want to blow a fuse.

I just sold my Line6 Flextone II and peavy 412MS cab to purchase a VK100 and matching cab. Is this an upgrade? Is it a good idea? The band i’m in plays mainly death metal and hardcore.

I sold my old setup for $310 and the new setup is $450.
