What's one recipe that everyone should make from scratch at least once?

I've been thinking about this while cooking today. Some recipes are just so much better homemade that it's hard to go back to the store-bought version.

For me, it's fresh salsa. It takes 10 minutes, costs very little, and tastes completely different from anything in a jar.

What's your pick? It could be bread, pasta, stock, pizza dough, butter chicken, cookies—anything. I'm looking to expand my list of recipes to try this year, and I'd love to hear what you think is genuinely worth making from scratch.

Stop eyeballing portions. Here's what 30g of protein actually looks like

Most people massively overestimate their protein intake because they don't measure. 30g of protein is roughly:

  • 150g chicken breast (about the size of your palm)
  • 5 large eggs
  • 200g greek yogurt
  • 1 can of tuna
  • 250g tofu

Which protein source do you rely on most? I rotate between chicken and eggs because I'm lazy.
