Quest throttle

Am I being paranoid or is Uber eats gaming these quests?

This is the second time in 2 days or I came within one delivery of getting the bonus and ended up not getting a single order

Once the bonus time ran out I started getting orders again.. Thursday I can see, but Friday? 40 minutes ago I was getting absolutely obliterated with offers and now I haven't had one in 40 minutes. Not even a $2/.30 mile offer

I think they do this on purpose.. scumbags

Getting a free ride on the back of another customer. Customers, this is why you don't get your food on occasion. The one that tipped a dollar would never get their order

2 items(same thing) only one in stock. 8 miles. Pay reduced by half

yeah, fck you Uber. I will 1 million percent make this up on the next delivery. There's no way I would have done this for $9. it was a pet store and I reached out to the customer and asked if they could except one of the items they ordered and another of the exact same item but a lesser amount.

it paid 18.

An hour later I have $9. Not Happy. I obliterated the first support person I talked to and of course they were unable to handle it so they escalated it to the relevant team.

I'm thinking Chinese food tonight 🤔

I've had it with their cheap fckn BS

I will be made whole . I can absolutely guarantee it 😡

What I should have done is just selected that I got both of them and delivered one of them

I'm sure I missed it, but I haven't seen a Costco order on DD or UE in more than a year

Do those gigs still offer them? I know a lot of the drivers didn't like doing but I love them. It was almost always 30 to 40 dollars an hour

Drivers. Quit running stuff that doesn't make sense. Gas went up 25 cents overnight here . Let the customers and doordash pay for your gas

The reason they're not paying us anything is because some of you will absolutely deliver stuff for free. This is going to go in one ear and out the other with most of you, but with gas prices at record highs, we need to force these companies to pay us a little more. YES, if people quit running orders 16 mi to make $3, it would force these companies to pay us a little more. You should've always been declining those, but it makes more sense now to do so.

I'm not sure this is even economically worth doing any longer.

Why would these companies pay us 8 when most of you will run it for 3, or in some cases absolutely free? Let the gigs and customers pay for your gas. You're literally doing both of them a favor. DD is using you at below federal minimum wage. They're doing so based on" contractor" status. Let the customers travel 14 miles for those nachos.

You're going to regret this in a year from now when you've put 25,000 miles on your car and don't have anything to show for it.

Customers are quick with the" get a different job" but they would be sunk if they actually had to go get their own stuff and the gig company would go out of business if it wasn't for the drivers. I think people would miss us when we're gone. So, you have the power to force change.

We use our vehicles, pay contractor taxes, bear the brunt of most complaints, make less than the gig company that does absolutely nothing but assigns a driver to someone's order, and then get to come here and read about customers trashing us.. I don't think this is sustainable. Either for us, or the gig company.

Also, the customers are getting bent over with the high fees they pay. This is going to catch up to somebody one of these days

Wake TF up!!!

We received a report

of long wait times and deliveries.. you can add relevant information

me.. then quit sending us on deliveries from two cities away. the delivery in question was 18 MI, it was stacked and it's super busy being mother's Day.. if you're worried about drivers taking too long, don't send them on 20 mile deliveries.. This is on YOU.

I get a stack that's paying like $28 from Uber in like $10 from the two customers

It's 8 miles to get to the first location.. it's another mile to get to the second restaurant.. from the second restaurant that's four miles to the first drop off.. after the first drop off at 7 MI

An hour later I guess somebody complaining it took too long.

This really burns my ass..co**suckers

You're actually required to go back and get me my items

I really don't have a lot of problems doing this but when I have one, it seems just like a Cascade of bs.

This particular order was stacked at least three different times while I was sitting in my car. It was a Best Buy (two) item order. Doordash stacked this on three different orders and I know it is the same order. The third time it came through ,it was attached to an Italian restaurant that's pretty expensive.. This Best buy thing also came through solo a few times

I got the order pretty quick.. it was a charger and phone mount for car.. I saw this order coming through multiple times for like $4 and no tip..So, other drivers were accepting it and dropping that portion of the order..

anyway...

It takes me like 5 minutes to find the two items and check out.. The Italian restaurant is like a block away. I picked that up and start out on the drive..

I get to this customer's apartment and it's one of those run-down type of deals.. it's an inside type of apartment where all the units were down a long single hallway.. Her's was of course the very end, like 30 doors down.. This is like a really really run down apartment and I wanted to make sure that she got her product.. I took a picture in the app and closed it out.

I walked back to the exit door and I stand there for a few minutes to make sure she gets it.. I waited like 4 minutes and then texted her to open her door and get her stuff so nobody steals it.. This isn't a hotel in Beverly hills or anything... this will not be there left unattended all night long.. Nothing.

This isn't my first rodeo.. I walked down the 30 doors and took a picture so I could send it to her in text.. I have no idea what happens to the pictures we send doordash after we close it out..So, I do that and leave.. I have that Italian order I need to drop off and it's a high paying order, so, I'm not going to wait around for this person.

20 minutes later she texted me and said she didn't get her stuff..I fckn knew it..So, I verified her apartment number and she gave me the apartment number where I dropped it off.. I said" I'm sorry but there's not a lot I can do. "You need to get with doordash".. That's when she sprung the "you're required to go purchase more stuff for me". I sent her this. "😂" I then said " are you kidding me. I took a picture in the app, texted you twice, waited around, walked back to your door, took a picture and sent it to you through text" I proceeded to tell her. " I can assure you that's quite a bit more than the average driver is going to do and I can guarantee you doordash is not going to reimburse you on this.. "You're out of luck" Her. " hey, but I didn't get my stuff" me..."well drivers don't go back and pick up new items because you weren't on top of things. That's not how any of this works"

I was then forced to contact support to avoid any kind of blowback BS...

For the people that are going to tell me I shouldn't have replied, you're absolutely wrong. This is the type of situation where you need to get it under control. YOU ABSOLUTELY DO NEED TO TOUCH BASE WITH DOORDASH. Someone is accusing you of not delivering their items. That's a problem..

This isn't the same scenario where somebody's going to complain about missing items like french fries, this is somebody telling me I didn't deliver like $85 worth of merchandise. You can get deactivated if doordash doesn't have your version. Nobody responds to people complaining their food is cold. This isn't even a little bit close to being the same thing .

ALWAYS TAKE A PICTURE OF THE DROP OFF.

So, I have a text conversation and two different pictures of this drop off. I took screenshots of the conversation too because after an hour or two you lose the ability to read the conversations you had in text.

I never really thought about it, mostly because it's usually a small amount I get, but can you circumvent the cash out policies on bonus bets? in other words, after you lay some bonus bet, there's always a cash out option. if you do it fast enough it's for the entire amount of the bet. if you wait long enough and have the event actually start, it starts going down.

So, can you place a $50 bonus bet and then immediately cash it out? That turns into real money you can withdraw, right?

During college basketball playoffs I ended up hitting $350 worth of bonus bets. I went ahead and played those.. I'm talking about what happens if you win like $10,000 worth of bonus bets? I would rather just withdraw those as fast as possible

Jesus Christ

how difficult is it to put two pre-made cookies into a fckn box within 20 minutes? This is absolutely the Popeyes of the bakery world. in 20 pickups, regardless of how busy it is, not one single time was an order ready when I got there. this place is 100% cheeks

they will immediately spring to life.. This happens quite frequently ,but tonight the shelf was right next to the cash register. Three employees looked directly at me and didn't even bother asking who I was there for. This guy with his back towards me apparently has eyes in the back of his head because he saw me grab the bag. " him.." please don't grab the food yourself". me.." please don't ignore us when we're running food for your customers"

yes, I absolutely said that without one single fck given. 😂

I'm pretty easy going but this place was really slow. I can't stand not being acknowledged." be right there sir" " please give me one second" " hi, I'll be right with you" Is that difficult?

I can always tell if the food was picked up already because the payout is enormous for something so easy.. If the restaurant isn't too far, I will still make the drive on the off chance it's there. I had one that was going 8 Miles the other day for like $42.. it was also a Chipotle, so I was thinking there's no way it's going to be there.. I bit the bullet and drove 5 MI.. it was actually there. That's rare though and here's how I handle it when the food isn't there..

I'm going to get with support and plant a seed in their brain that the previous driver stole it.Yes, I'm absolutely going to ask the customer support person whether or not the previous driver stole it. These numbnuts aren't going to know, but the people that analyze the data of missing orders, these people are mostly educated and they're going to research how many times that particular driver has had that issue.

Also, I'm going to specifically tell the customer that another driver kept their food.. I WANT THEM CALLING UBER AND RAISING HELL. My goal is to get you deactivated if I can. Have a pleasant week.

DO NOT JUST DROP THE ORDER WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING. HELP ME GET RID OF THESE DEADBEAT DRIVERS. No wonder the customers think we suck.. we pay the price for the handful of people that mess it up

I do sometimes ask the customer first before driving to the restaurant if they noticed another driver had this order before I did.. you'd be surprised at how many people say yes.. if the restaurant is only a few miles, and the payout makes financial sense, I will either call that restaurant or just drive there and hope that it's still there.. it's almost never there though

It's possible the driver did have an emergency, and had to drop the order, hence, the high payout in urgency to send another driver.. That's super rare though. Some drivers just flat out steal.. I'm going to rinse your cheeks if I'm the next driver
