Potential Bigster buyer

Hi everyone!

In about 3 months I will be switching cars. Currently driving a 2017 Skoda Octavia mk3 estate/combi and have the Bigster at the top of my list as a replacement. I have settled on the Journey trim level plus the black pack, indigo blue and the 19inch Rasan wheels as extras.

My engine of choice currently is the mild hybrid 1.2 tce 140 engine as I prefer a manual gearbox and don't do a lot of mileage annually. My driving style is laid back and not that aggressive.

Unfortunately my local Dacia dealership doesn't currently have a Bigster available for a test drive.

My two main questions are if the engine is at least sufficient for the weight of the car and if the 19inch wheels hurt ride comfort significantly (where I live roads are crap). Any other insights are welcomed!

Thanks in advance!

As a Greek Buck's fan

I am Greek and became a Buck's fan back in 2017, solely because of Giannis. What a wild decade it has been. Really excited to see what this new era has in-store for us. I wish Giannis best of luck in his new team.

Having said that...fuck the Heat. And fuck Giannis when he's playing against the Bucks. The culture here is that we don't switch teams. Ever. And for no one.

I hope my fellow Greek Buck's fans feel the same.

Feer the dear

1.5 TSI 150hp x manual combo

I found a 2022 facelift used Kodiaq with 43000kms on the clock that I am very interested in buying. It has the aforementioned combo. I have booked a test drive this Tuesday. I have driven this engine with dsg in Tiguan, Q3 and Karoq. Loved it in the city, kinda annoyed me on the motorway.

Never driven a manual before with this engine and I would like to hear from people who have either driven or own one, regardless of the car (Kodiaq, Karoq, Octavia or other VW brands).

Thanks in advance!

Esperia Kingdom

So with recent spoilers about Brook and Gunko being from a wastern Kingdom called Esperia, I have some thoughts.

One of the 12 labours of Hercules was to steal the golden apples of Hesperides, the sacred fruits of the Gods, which were said to grant immortality. They were a gift from Gaia to her daughter Hera for marrying Zeus. They were kept in the Garden of Esperides which was the westernmost part of the known world to ancient Greeks (present day Morocco). Hesperides were nymphs and they were tasked with guarding the apples.

It's obvious that Oda draws inspiration from this part of Greek mythology and the golden apples of Hesperides are paralles to devil fruits in the One Piece story. So the kingdom of Esperia could be revealed to either be the place where devil fruits were created or the place where they were kept for safe keeping by the "Gods" of that era (ancestors of modern day celestial dragons maybe?).

Joyboy was said to be the first pirate. Like Hercules in the Greek myth, Joyboy might have stolen the devil fruits from the ancient kingdom of Esperia or his actions somehow caused the devil fruits to be accessible to not only the ruling class of that time period but to everyone else as well, thus leading to him being branded as a "pirate" by the "Gods".

Sorry for my english

edit

Another interesting bit from the Greek myth. Hesperides were not alone in guarding the apples. They were assisted by a huge serpent-like dragon, named Ladon who according to wiki " twined and twisted around the tree in the Garden of Hesperides".

Nidhogg the traitor perhaps?
