Fuel gauge issue

Hi, could anyone help with this? I’ve driven a ton of different cars over 30 years and this is my second duster. It’s a 2022/23 SE. I’m worried there’s an issue with the fuel gauge.

I’d done about 220 miles from a full tank, and I filled it up and it took 19.3litres of petrol to fill it up. The range went from 325 to 425 miles.

Does it seem reasonable that such a big drop in petrol would only move the gauge that little?

Is this a fault?
Thanks

Duster 2023 cold start is bad now even during summer

Why is the car stalling sometimes and revs drop when doing a cold start on petrol? It fixes itself immediately after it switches to LPG.

The car had a similar issue from Day 1, but it was a thing only in the coldest winter days, not it's happening even during these heats, and keep in mind the car is kept in a garage. The issue is happening only for the first cold start of the day, no issues after that.

I've read that it's slightly normal for these cars and engine, but is it normal to get even worse after time?! I will appreciate the help and ideas, thanks in advance!

The car is a Duster 1.0, from late 2023 facelift and LPG. And overall why is the car driving better on LPG than on petrol?
Again, I remember reading that sadly this is common for the model, but really, that bad?

Dacia Bigster question

Hello everyone,

We just got out third child and found out the biggest issue is logistics. So we are looking into buying a bigger car. The biggest car we currently have is a Dacia Logan MCV 2 from 2016. Great car with small kids: cheap reliable, big, doesnt matter if it gets dirty. Unfortunately it barely fits 2 of our children seats + maxi-cozi in the back. For now it is doable but when the youngest one is grown out of the maxi-cozi and needs the next seat we will need something bigger.

So we are looking for a car wich can seat 3 children seats next to each other or a 7 sits option. And it needs a big trunk so we can transport lots of stuff.

With our wishes we ended with the current options are the VW sharan/Seat Alhambra and the Skoda Kodiaq. With our budget(Max €35000) we are looking at a 6 - 7 year old car with less than a 100k km.

However I just found out of the existence of the Dacia Bigster which is just in the range of our max budget. The problem is that It cant find anything on the width of the back seat. But going by the name Bigster so it should hopefully be bigger than the Dacia Logan we currently own. I was thinking on checking one out at a dealer but it is a few hours driving from me.

So I was wondering if anyone could help me with this and check out the back seat width.

An additional question which probably cant be answered is about the upcoming Dacia striker. I found it will be a bit longer than the Bigster. But is there anything known about the the trunk volume and the is it safe to assume the width of the back seat is the same?

Finally! Dacia Duster 3 Petrol Engine 1.6.0 update is coming – who’s excited?

Looks like the Engine 1.6.0 update for the Dacia Duster 3 is finally on its way and should be available in the next few days.
I’ve been waiting for this one, so it’s nice to see Dacia finally fixing the annoying idle RPM issue. Hopefully this puts an end to the random rev increase while the car is standing still.
Anyone else looking forward to this update? Have you had this issue on your Duster 3?

Patch Notes:
PETROL ENGINE 1.6.0
Software updates that improve the vehicle’s functionality to provide an optimal user experience.
This update includes the following improvement:
Fixes an unintended increase in engine speed (RPM) while the vehicle is stationary.
This update will be available in the coming days.

Will I get used to driving a manual 2013 Dacia Lodgy? :')

Here i am, hoping to one day have money to afford a small car (maybe a Twingo or so) - and now my sweet dear grandma has passed away and leaves us a 2013 Dacia Lodgy. It's a manual and it's huge and it is SCARY for me.

I learnt driving in a manual Audi 80, felt very safe and secure with it. Then didn't drive for a few years. Then drove my mum's Mercedes B 180 automatic for a year (20,000 km) and then moved to a big city where i used car sharing and drove an Opel Corsa (automatic) and a Renault Zoe occasionally. LOVED those cars size-wise.

Now i sit here with this Lodgy. It would be so stupid to not give it a proper try (fincancially) but i have already driven it in town a few times and feel overwhelmed by it (and it has no park assistance beeping for the front which makes it even more difficult).

Can you tell me something that makes me fall in love with this car and encourages me to practice driving it? Right now it really scares me (and at the end of the day I want to be safe for me and for others). Thank you!

PS: Selling it to get another car is unfortunately no option. It belongs to my uncle officially but he will let me drive it. He probably wouldn't sell it though and give me the money for another car.

Is something wrong, or am I just imagining things?

I (might) have a problem with my DD II 1.0 Tce LPG (2020, manual). It has only 46,000 km on the clock; all replacements of consumable parts, fluids, filters, etc. have been carried out regularly, and the oil has been changed every 10,000 km. I’ve had the car for about a year. It’s my first car, so I don’t really have anything to compare it with or much experience. Recently, I’ve had the impression that it drives a bit differently than usual, but the differences are so subtle that I find it hard to say for sure whether there’s actually something wrong. It seems to me that in lower gears, particularly when approaching a junction (slowing down, but not to a complete stop, and then pulling away), it "chokes" slightly, and then "jumps" forward a bit as it starts moving. I can’t rule out that this is a ME problem and my use of the clutch, but I don’t think I’ve changed my driving technique in any way, and I didn’t notice this before. I’d add that I don’t notice any difference whether I’m running on LPG or petrol, or whether the engine is cold or warm or AC is on/off.

I also think that the gears have been a bit harder to engage recently; generally, whilst driving, I can feel a sort of "rattling" under the pedals, and when stationary, I feel like the car is noisier than usual (I’ve recorded a video showing what it looks like and what it sounds like under the bonnet when stationary after about half an hour of city driving).

I had even more doubts when I asked my dad, who also drives a Duster II but with a 1.6 engine, although he’s driven mine on occasion too. He took my car for a spin in town, and we also went for an hour-long drive out of town. He says he thinks everything’s fine and can’t see anything to worry about.

I’d really love it if it turned out that I was just being paranoid and everything fine, or that these are just "Dacia things". It’s all the more difficult to believe that something could have worn out so badly with such low mileage; over the last year I’ve driven about 11,000 km, mainly in town and occasionally on the highway. No warning lights or indicators appeared on the dashboard.

Has anyone else had a similar experience, or, having watched the video, do you think something’s wrong or have a hunch about what might be the problem?

I’d be grateful if you could confirm my suspicions one way or the other and put my paranoid mind at rest. Thanks!!

Dacia DUSTER III commandé, vert cèdre, question accessoires

Bonjour,

Merci

Auto Hold

cheers everybody! yesterday i received my Duster Journey and while i love it i cant help but notice some things here and there and one of them is the Auto Hold function, which doesnt really exists, i've saw some youtube videos on how to do it, but i sense that a function so important should be much more straightforward than having to push a couple of buttons. Is this a thing on all versions or just on the hybrid 155? cheers!

My old, early Dacia models

I’m so glad I bought them back then — starting with my first MCV in 2009.

I’ve been driving Dacias ever since and have clocked up around 540,000 km in them...

Cost to repair tailgate bump - UK

I’m getting a few quotes to fix my dusters tailgate, managed to pull most of it out but there’s still a little dent with a paint scrape. Does anyone know a ballpark figure just so I’m not getting ripped off
