My self built hybrid sim rig for driving and regular gaming/working

Hello,

I always had the problem that while I liked to simrace and trucksim from time to time, I also just want to play regular games, work or just derp around on the internet without the need of a seperate rig or big adjustments every time.

I looked extensively but couldnt find anything that fulfilled my needs.

So I designed and built a hybrid rig. The seat slides back to make room for the wheel and also ideal distance to the pedals. When I slide forward I can pull out a board from underneath the desk for comfortable distance to mouse/keyboard. The board as well as the cushioned armrest was added afterwards to remove discomfort.

Now Im completely happy and want to share it, maybe somebody needs something similar.

Its rock solid and doesnt slide arround (I had it on wheels first but removed them).

I also added a height adjustable board on the right for joystick (fligh- or farm sim) or a H shifter.

The M Logo is just cheap acryl paint and the rig was a 15mm multiplex board.

The wall mounts for the wheels were a quick saturday lathe project.

If you have questions feel free to ask.

Love my new G21

The reaction of most people to the car is „I dont usually like red, but this looks great“

I only drove Volvos until now and am very happy I switched.
