Absolute newbie hier! Waar te beginnen?

Zoals de titel al aangeeft, ik (30V) weet vrijwel niets van D&D, maar ik wil er toch wel mee beginnen, ook omdat mijn vriend het een beetje aan het ontdekken is en met hem wil meedoen. Vroeger was ik altijd enorm terughoudend om het te spelen omdat alles in imperial units gaat (en ik ben heel slecht in rekenen) en omdat ik wellicht een beetje een vertekend beeld heb over hoe het spel gaat.

Vandaar ook mijn vraag; waar moet ik beginnen? Ik heb mijn eerste setje dices vandaag gekocht en ik ga binnenkort met mijn vriend naar een beginners event in Culemborg (wat voor mij ook een grote stap is, want ASS). Zijn er handige resources waar ik me kan inlezen, kennis kan opdoen, etc?

WIP: Working on my first spell bottle!

Making my first spell bottle for protecting my home! Only a few ingredients still need to be added (they haven't fully dried yet). Once everything is added and the bottle has been sealed, I'll post prettier pictures!

SDCS Tornado Gundam finished!

First SDCS kit, a very fun and amazing build, beyond my expectations. Normally not really into SD kits but this is really something else! Did a lot of extra detailing with a little help from my partner. Might want to get the Sisquiede as well if it becomes available.

Didn't expect to find these today!

My local secondhand shop had these four glasses for €1.20 a piece. Uranium glass is hard to find in the wild where I live, so I couldn't pass on these! When I got home I discovered that the top glows as well under a 365nm light (first photo, second photo is 395nm), what looks like to be peach manganese, which is a first for me!
