MCAT Prep

Hi everyone,

I’m currently living in the United States and am planning to start preparing for the MCAT. I originally moved here from India, and I’m still trying to understand the full process of preparing for the MCAT and applying to medical school in the U.S.
I feel a bit overwhelmed because the system is very different from what I was familiar with, and I’m looking for someone who can guide me through the process step by step.
If you are a mentor, tutor, or student who has already gone through this journey, or if you can recommend good resources, courses, or coaching programs, I would really appreciate your help.
My goal is to pursue medicine in the U.S., and I’m ready to work hard—I just need the right guidance to get started.
Thank you so much in advance! r/Mcat r/premed

New to the U.S. and Starting My Pre Med Journey. Looking for Guidance

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to the U.S. on a Green Card and I’m beginning my journey toward medical school.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, a master’s degree in Microbiology, and four years of clinical experience outside the U.S.

My plan is to work in the U.S. while completing the required premed prerequisites and preparing for the MCAT.

Even with my background, I feel overwhelmed and a bit lost about how the U.S. premed process works. I’m looking for someone who has gone through this path, or is currently on it, who would be willing to share guidance and answer a few questions.

If you’re open to helping, please comment below and I’ll reply so we can connect.

I would truly appreciate any advice. Thank you so much.
