Doesn't get better than this - X5 Camp Out
Super chill vibes at a spot between Sydney and Brisbane, opted to pull up to camp instead of some random motel.

Bit of a fun build on the V8 X5. 1.5" lift, 265/70/17 Falken AT3 on 17" Dynamic Steelies, 0 offset front and -25 offset rear. It has a full dual battery setup in the back, spotties from Alibaba, roof rack from eBay, platform from FB Marketplace and side awning from Dune 4x4. Fun car and actually gets wheeled hard too
Bit of a fun build with the big V8 X5. Small 1.5" lift with 265/70/17 Falken AT3 tyres on 17" steel wheels. 0 offset front and -25 rear to clear the brake calipers. Full 120amp lithium 12V setup to keep the beers cold too, and this does get wheeled hard 🤙
Been aiming for a bit of a Baja / Dakar vibe on my build, the big car looks the part imo. Spotties, side awning and a small lift help tie it all nicely together. Using the big N62 V8 as the power plant she goes off-road hard too
Fitted some DRL's to the big rig, haven't actually hooked up the main spotlights as tbh i just like the DRL look more haha. Low profile roof rack too so I keep the rig to 1.91m, fitting into city car parks and being my practical daily too. Wires have been tidied up since pic was taken with conduit and such.
Fitted some amber DRL's to the big rig, they match the angel halos of the X5 real nicely.
Fitted a low profile roof rack and some DRL spotties to the big rig, help light up those dark trails. The amber colour matches the BMW halo's real nice which is the main reason i got this set.
Thought you guys might enjoy seeing this. First video I go against a Mercedes G Wagon (tho mate just only captured the end of his climb), you can see he's either not got a locker on or such as it's spinning a tonne. I idled up next to him and thought it wasn't too bad. To not leave it at that, I went back and tried the same climb he did halfway through the video - you can see, while not perfect that xDrive is prettty capable for locking everything in as I climbed.
The G Wagon is obviously much more capable as a vehicle, but it was cool to see how experience/vehicle knowledge plays into tackling climbs and off-roading 🤙
Took the chance to head out for the long weekend and setup camp along the Bridle Track with a few buddies. First test of the new lithium 12V setup too and worked a treat, keeping those bevs and steaks cool 👌 and of course couldn't help suss a couple side tracks next to camp.
