I played this game 7 to 8 (?) years back and it was my absolute favorite. It was a large scale PvP medieval war game. Every side was either humans or orcs and each has a castle. This castle has a few npc to fight on the respective side as well as a boss of the said faction.
The npc were of different classes. The Boss was the strongest and was also guarded by very strong guards. Most other npc were archers, footmen or knights.
I think you could choose between multiple weapons. (Swords and Bows?)
I think the npc would also go out of the castle to fight on the (very large) battlefield with the players.
I think there were shops in the castles to buy better equipment for points you get for fighting.
I think there were multiple points to be captured before you could realistically advance to the main boss of the enemy faction.
Albion Online is my first MMORPG, so here are some of my first impressions.
The tutorial was pretty good, although I found myself wandering around more often than not. The idea of a classless game is brilliant, even though I always have problems with deciding what I actually want to do now.
The community chat is very weird, right from the get go. Mostly talking about femboys.
My first dungeon was pretty easy to walk through, but the boss at the end killed me 1 times and simply walked to his point back and regenerated if I accidentally walked a bit far away.
I got invited into a guild of 3 active players and 17 who weren’t online for the last 3-9 months. I got out of there as soon as I saw that. (Was that the right decision?)
The game is really fun and I hope it can retain that for the future. Since this is a truly open world game, I fear I will simply get lost along the way and it won’t make fun anymore for me.
I just wanted to write some of my first impressions of the game. Sorry if this sounds somehow corny or so. Maybe I will write more of these little updates.
